Ford's GT allocation decisions basically ended up being a social media popularity contest. People who've owned Ford vehicles all their life including the previous GT were passed over for Youtuber's that have never touched a Ford in their life. It's really unfortunate imo.

I don’t say you got to like him, but just because he exposes himself on YouTube doesn't give grown men the right to write mean stuff about him! The stuff here is more hateful and mean than what kids write in the comments section on YouTube.

I do hope all of you who are fathers set a better example to your kids in how to treat other people, than what's beeing shown here.

No wonder cyber bullying is such major problem among teens and kids, when grown successful men find if acceptable to behave like this.

And how can you call him a flipper? He has put so many miles on his car that he has lost money owning it! In the months he owned it, he put more miles on it than most GT3 owners do in 2-3 years. Just as an example: There is 64 2015 GT3/RS for sale in Germany. 30 of them have done more than 10.000 km and 34 has done less than 10.000 km.

The GT3 market in mainland Europe is also very different than in the US and UK. You could without owning any previous Porsche’s get an allocation if you just went to a dealer right after it was launched.

Are you kidding? Shmee is everything that is wrong with YouTube at the moment, do you realize his target audience is 12 years old kids and they take him as a role model? He's cheap entertainment like McDonalds is cheap fast food. Nice to see the Porsche factory, but I don't care if it's him presenting it. Cyber Bullying and bullying in general is wrong and should be enforced more, but don't confuse criticism with bullying. It's a fact that those guys want kids to believe they got their wealth from their channel when YouTube wouldn't even cover their insurance cost. Look how many cars he got, you think it's YouTube money?

I know friends submitted ownership resumes and videos, but it seems a big miss to sell the cars to vloggers. What’s the end game? YouTube personality reviews the car, drives it in some flashy rallies doing illegal things then flips it off to a collector that will never again drive it?

I wonder what % of exotic cars (exotic sports cars, hyper cars, super cars) actually get driven rather than shown.

Do you really think stuff like this is criticism?

«his seat must smell like an a s s h o l e»

«Imagine the amount of slobber on those sport buckets? Next owner will need a full interior decontamination.»

«Needs to trim about a half inch off his tongue. Drives me nuttths!»

Go back to read my previous post ot this thread....the only sensible and polite post here apart from a couple of others..This is just showing human nature at its very worst; Envy>Jealousy>Spiteful remarks>Insults..etc I'm starting to wonder how many school children are posting on Rennlist..

They are one bad episode from stopping this. Imagine a big wreck, someone gets hurt or worse, and then the manufacturers back away due to the bad PR.

Agree that some of the comments were over the top.

I don't care about those comments, if they made fun of his physical appearance or body shaming it'd be different. You do realize that he's playing a character right? When he introduces himself with the "hey guys it's Shmeee" he's making it up, that's not himself, that's the character he plays on YouTube.

Bingo. Sad too because it's a hell of a car.
but that describes a heck of a lot of GT buyers these days. Particularly in the UK where rather a lot of people who can actually get the cars hand them back to the OPC in return for the next shiny new GT car. Here there's a heap of .2 gt3s for sale due to .2rs owners handing back their cars. Putting low mileage on the car and holding it for a year or whatever when the intention is to move it on and split the profit with the dealership in order to rinse and repeat with the next GT car is imo little different from outright flipping it immediately other than having the figleaf of being able to claim not being 'a flipper' when their main (only?) interest in the car is due to it's financial value.

If or perhaps when the GT cars depreciate again, these self proclaimed non flippers will disappear as quickly as the flippers who sell up at once....

Yeah but better than what is going on with Porsche and really no different. Porsche/dealers handing out allocations to business people (capitalists) trying to make a buck. I real enthusiast that wants to buy the car to drive it can't unless they of course pay the flipper fee.

I rather like Ford and how they did it. You apply to get one. You sign a "no flipping" document and you pay the price if you do. At least they are keeping people in the car and totally take out the flipping aspect.

I actually find this post EXACTLY what is wrong in today's society. Someone posts a critique and instantly it goes to "bullying". You say something challenging or not in agreement and instantly people go to "racism" or "sexism". The Serena example is perfect. That whole issue has NOTHING to do with sexism but well challenged that card is played. I TOTALLY get being respectful but critiquing ones product and not even personally attacking him IS NOT bullying.

Now a days people don't want to say anything. Heaven to betsy you actually challenge someone views or give a different perspective. Yes this is also how I have raised two wonderful boys. BE RESPECTFUL first and foremost but you do not have to go along and be a lemming and just agree with everything and if you think something is wrong or could be better then share that opposing view. For you to think that just because Schmee is on youtube, everyone has to either love it and not say anything is ludicrous. If you don't want the criticism, then don't go public on YT. Sure hope you don't leave RL because I am "bullying" you.
