The second part is the part that needs to be curbed, and then supply will be adequate. The second part causes a feedback loop where demand and prices keep going up because demand and prices are going up. Read about the tulip mania: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulip_mania
demand is a buyer regardless of what you do with it. Someone people want the car and just park it next to ten others, and drive it down the coast. I just think it’s their business what they do with it.

^Exactly.

Many or all of these clients that gave earnest deposits to SS were aware of ADM's (and it was each their choice to commit to that) however the primary issue here is not capitalism or profitability.... it's the fraudulent actions by SS (aka stealing, embezzling, scamming, or whatever one coins it as...) which adversely misled/impacted these same clients.

Few separate issues here. No right or wrong unless you beak the law.

If Porsche and PCNA want the bad publicity as a result of them not being to manage their dealers, let them have fun. They can rake dealers over the coals for bad customer surveys, dirt smudges on white showroom walls, and cracked floor tiles in the service dept, but they turn a blind eye with all the other shenanigans.

There has been millions of $$$ in press exposure to this Champion drama which is part of a system that's going on all over the country. Only difference here, Champion's employee set up a scam to defraud customers. Regardless, not good brand exposure here for Porsche. Let them bury their head in the sand. Who cares. Shows their true colors.

Main objective here is to get victims $$ back and Shiraaz have his day in court.

That, however, is not true the moment that federal regulation imposes an artificial layer of intermediation (the dealers). Rent-seeking isn't capitalism.

I can tell you that neither Porsche nor Champion will lose a sale over this, actually having the GT line all over the news will increase demand as it shows all this happened because they're in high demand. And Porsche will give Champion more allocations instead of being penalized.

I would agree however it is sad. I don't think Porsche gives a rats a$$ about all this. They will still sell every last GT car they produce, every one. Dealers however may take a little hit in that folks MAY decide the premiums they are asking isn't worth the BS therefore demand decreases a bit at the higher ADM's.

As long as the economy is good and A LOT of folks have a little extra money to burn, these shenanigans will continue. The one thing I don't get, understand or comprehend is the people trying to defend Champion. I don't care if they are the largest dealer, I would not give them a penny. THE GREED and horrible moral compass that Champion leadership possesses by knowingly employing a loser like this guy tells me all I need to know about this organization. One thing if this was his first brush with being a criminal but they knew damn good and well what he was as a human.

Easy to be arrogant when you're hot and the economy is great. Buyers don't forget and dealers will be in a different boat when sales slow down.

Porsche has been on this scarcity kick over the past year with all models. They're trying to reduce discounting and seem more exclusive. Don't buy the hype. It's a mass produced Porsche not a Picasso. Shop around nationwide and the best $$. Shipping cars is cheap. Support the dealers who are good to you and appreciate the business.

Even with the GT cars. Somehow the independent brokers have become de facto dealership employees. Life goes on. Don't waste your $$ and support the nonsense.

"PROFIT" It's NOT a dirty word!! (coming from someone that probably never be able to afford one due to this supply / demand game. But, I begrudge nobody for trying to turn a profit.
“America is GREAT” for people in the upper 5% of the income bracket. Its the complete opposite of great relative to some other developed nations in other brackets. The arrogance and ignorance on this forum is disgusting. I think some of you can use a reality check.

The ADM game has been going for how long?......this scam happened because of one very very bad apple.....How Porsche dictates the dealers when it comes to selling GT cars is not going to change because of this incident.....it will be yesterday's news and my guess is Champion will make everyone whole who lost money....don't mean to sound like a d*^k about it but we all know it's true.....the dealers sell thousands upon thousands of other Porsche models....they are going to make their extra money when they can and it's our job as the customers to halt it and drive GT prices down....we all know that won't happen either....a lot of big fish and not enough food....
