Doesn't say how they expect the victims to be paid back. By who? Them? Assuming some insurance company? Pretty vague.

So it looks like they are neglecting to mention the R transactions/lawsuit, and only God knows what else. Seems to me like they will only admit fault to what the spotlight is on/what they got caught doing 10 days too late, and now their tail is in-between their legs. No mercy boys

I think he meant it as a positive thing that you did the right thing being willing to post about it and we appreciate it my man. More people need to come forward with **** treatments by US dealers and call them out, and most certainly for terrible instances like this

Way too many people affected to hide all that stuff IMO. You mean not one of these people (people with deposits) ever called or went into the dealer and talked to anyone else about their deal, asked just basic questions about timing of allocation etc etc. REALLY hard to believe this loser was capable to pull this off with NO ONE at the dealer knowing. Accounting principles or not. Just people talking.

Good news is on a jury stand I guess the truth will prevail, hopefully.

See, I told you so (that champion would pay back deposits). Just took a bit of time to sort out as it always does.

So how many people will be happy with refunds, and how many will demand a car or compensation to buy the car they ordered somewhere else? Not many I bet.

Also, this scam can work just as well without ADM. He could have set up deposits to another account for MSRP cars just as easily. In fact, people probably would have been willing to throw even more money at him for that kind of deal (other than it might have seemed too good to be true!).

Maybe the old man found out and got bumped off.

No way, they said “they’ll assist” not “they’ll refund”

I wonder how some guys here actually sign contracts and not understanding the language that is written sometimes?

It doesn't say that they will be giving refunds themselves, or when and if that will even happen.

Where do they say that? It mentions helping with "proceeds". No where do they mention they are giving back deposits.

I said they will pay or they'll be done at the beginning of this thread. How they will pay,how much etc...we don't know, but they will settle. 2.5 mil is a lot of money but they can pull it off in the grand scheme of things.
Don't expect them to admit publicly they knew...even if they did...like EVER!

It is our intent to insure .... assure receive the proceeds

translation, we filed a claim with our insurer and they have not confirmed converage yet and if we admit liability we jeopardize our insurance coverage, but we want to make it clear that we are not going to leave people hanging (because that would be bad for us) and this is the best language our lawyer would approve.

ADMs weren't a requirement to the fraud as I understand it. Customer wants a GT car at MSRP: Fraudster obliges and deposits into his shell company.

And if as a customer I was being pitched that I was saving sales tax on any unreported ADM, my antenna would pierce the 30' foot ceiling of the Porsche showroom.
