You guys realize right that the majority of GT3 buyers don't want them making more. They want these adm games and other BS so they can have the newest hottest thing for a few months, sell it for the same or more, and then rinse and repeat. If porsche produced as many as people wanted, this would no longer happen, and it would just be another car that depreciated. These people like money more than they like cars.

Agree that value retention is a factor as it was with me knowing that it was best in that respect among obtainable 911s. In my case I thought I would hold it and enjoy it for two years and then sell it for a CPO TTS. Fortunately for me, a pristine TTS came up within 3 months and I traded the GT3.
If the ADM games did not go on the inflated retention values would not happen. I came out slightly ahead because I paid MSRP but felt like a **** getting rid of the car so quick. First new car I bought in 32 years so not easy for me to do until I realized my end goal.

There is nothing to be gained paying an ADM and trying to flip. As we've seen, the resale numbers on these cars hasn't been as great as expected. Guys trying to sell nearly new and delivery mile GT3's can't even get $10K over MSRP. Add in sales tax too, there's no upside. Not to mention their PPF job too
The speculators were hoping for a more hot market and are starting to get a chilly feeling.

How long before anyone thinks Shiraaz pops up again??
Also, not sure he'd been so smart to have opened some offshore account, planned to move there, and be able to hide the funds there with them being tracked back here in the US. Everything has a trail these days. Not like he's some professional international thief.
The best thing would have been to have the $$ in CASH, and that's not that easy. Not like you can go to a bank easily and take out a withdraw and ask for $2MM in cash. Geez, they barely have any $$ on hand as is.
Any gov't agency can see if a passport was used too.
I think his "plan" may not have been as well thought out and complicated as we think. Also, what did Champion think when he disappeared end of August and took his computer with him? They had no suspicions until people supposedly started calling on 9/4/18?
More questions than answers. Time will tell.
How long can he hide out?
Few more points:
1. Shiraaz probably underestimated the media attention this would get. He probably thought he could hide in anonymity.
2. Champion should be happy with the media attention as it will result in him getting caught up with quicker I'm sure.
3. Some advice to Champion ... Don't let an attorney do your public relations. They usually aren't good at it as we've seen here.

If it wasn't for the ADMs, the money worth breaking the law for, in SSs view, most likely may not have happened in this manner..........but I am sure he would have found other ways it seems.......

Seriously, this guy runs off and will never see his children again? Worth it??
My "guess", he's running from something. The cash fraud is just a means to be able to survive on the run. Something clicked and made him finally go rogue at this next level.
Time will tell ...
