quite nice here:

im picking up RS on Friday morning 9/21; a friend is coming with me and renting a car from Porsche - he said all that was left were 718s! . We are tentatively planning to immediately head straight down to Switzerland and spend the next 3 days running through Swiss passes over to Stelvio then heading back up North through Austria to make it to Spa by Tuesday night. Certainly the more the merrier and any recommendations would be appreciated!

I’ll be in Spa on 26th then Ring 27th and 28th
Yellow 991.2 GT3 on Italian plates

@Disden: in Switzerland easy to recommend Furka, Grimsel and Sustenpass (this is the best of all for me).
One of the best roads of the world is from Davos to Zernez and then Zernez to Stelvio.

If you touch Austria there’s the lovely Hochalpenstrasse from Solden to Italy, lovely on the Italian side too (“Passo del Rombo”).

Also very nice in Switzerland is the San Bernardino pass.

I guess you are aware of the draconian response the Swiss have to anything driven with some ethusiasm. Real shame given their amazing roads, but best to stay within the speedlimit, even in the mountains.

We go to the Alps at least once every year but always go to the area around Megeve, going to Val D'Isere, Courmayeur, Alpe D'Huez, etc. Once away from the villages you can really push on.

You have described my exact path if weather allows. I have driven the Timmelsjoch/Passo Rombo many times - its a nice drive- except for all the damn Caravaners! my wife and I have become quite fond of relaxing in Langenfeld, Austria and using it as a base to explore Austria/Northern Italy. Yes, we will be careful in Switzerland, I've not eager to empty my pockets. But those drives are so amazing in Switzerland they are hard to pass up, and so close to Stuttgart as well. Thanks for the info, gotta love RL!

The tracks there have shops that stock the usual Porsche track car sizes. At Spa LLM Meccasport is right next to LaSource and usually has RS sizes in stock ready for track days. Also many of the track day organizers have tire support that come to the track prepared. RSR ans Gran Turismo are very good at finding sets for customers. But they are not cheap! I still have been unable to track down some R spec PSC2s

But of course. Why would I not ensure you of an additional 50hp advantage..?
