Are you sure the Exclusive Turbo S is selling for only 50K over? I have 2 friends who will buy that car in an instant at 50k ADM if that was true.

Turbo S exclusive is trading at around 100-125K the last time I checked.

Sport Auto just did a test of the new 3rs and said in many ways it’s better than the 2 RS. They said even though it’s an incremental change in hp, it’s a big leap in terms of the whole package with the changes to the chassis and aero. They tested it on the ring and I found the article to be an interesting read. The engine in the 3rs is 35 kg lighter than the 2rs for example.

Why are so many so defensive that adm may vary from shop to shop and/or could actually be coming down? If anyone thought 2rs premiums would be as high at end of cycle as they were at the beginning, come on, seriously? Does this not happen every time? Is the pattern not a little bit obvious? Or is it going to be different this time?

Can you post a link to the article?

You know what will happen if next GT is TT.

I think 2RS was test ballon which passed with flying colors despite all the whining about fear of turbos.

Same pattern. You are dead on. It is when someone comes on here and makes a claim that just isn’t true. The going rate for a 2RS is just not $40-$50 as posted so folks are saying “where are those deals” as there are a few RLers that would go get one at that ADM.

The actual ADM’s and used car sales right now are at or just north of $100k. If someone knows of a speccable at $40 as stated then tell fellow RLers where it is.

BINGO!

We know prices do come down eventually, just like the stock market. That is why we have so many "Financial Experts/Advisers" in this forum.

It is a "Sales Gimmick" for anyone to call or get in touch with "False Advertisers" at $40-$50K, then they give you the "Song and Dance" and slowly break you on the price of $150K.

For those who advertise at $40K-$50K on a GT2RS with WP, I have two friends that I know of, who will stroke you a check today.

Let's just keep it real, okay.

Drive safe,

Really?! A fellow named Scott Svarney emailed me and offered me one at $15K over. I have no interest, so here you go:

Unlike the GT3 and GT2 RS, the GT3 RS will be built through 2019, so it makes no sense to pay inflated pricing now (unless a person is suffering from a complete absence of delay of gratification...err, just has to have one right now).

+1 They can build another 2k units during the 6 month 2019 production run alongside the anticipated Speedster. We'll see 4k .2 3RS's by the time production is over. It's hard to believe that if you add up .1 and .2 3RS's, there will be close to 10k units WW.

.2 3RS builds will be through 2nd Q ‘19.

Total .2 3RS will be ~2000

Fair enough. 50k may a realistic premium before long, but it would still be on low, low end of today's numbers (I doubt a spec-able positions have enough time to get there at all, but on-the-ground examples will)

No, not like the stock mkt. I'm not talking about a broad asset sell-off, where the entire car market corrects. I am talking about the "I have to have it now premium" melting, once it's no longer the newest, shiniest toy. Aka 991.1 3rs and R. Even more the 991.1 3rs example given its final production wasn't known at the onset.

Yeah, 3rs going lower also (and I have one coming). Wouldn't be surprised if repeat of 997.2 3rs with dealers selling below list at the end to move all allocations.

Let's remember 997.1 3rs was a 75k premium at start of its cycle (on a 125k car) and traded down well under MSRP. 997.2 3rs started at much smaller premium and was below list to move last few examples. Sound familiar?
