Default 2014 991.1 GT3 Warranty End

As the manufacturer's full car warranty end nears, what are you inspecting before too late to claim?

Inspect your PDK for any signs of leak even if minor. Porsche only does complete replacements instead of repair.

I don't believe transmission is included in the 10 year engine warranty

I think he is referring to the end of the normal warranty.

Correct. Thanks to you I won't have to start another thread like this one on the motor until my 10-year/120K-mile anniversary nears.

I believe my 3rd motor is a very early version of the "G" so it does not have the upgraded finger lifter/camshaft DLC coating. Maybe a 4th before anniversary end?

I accelerated the 4 year service by about 2-1/2 months. This is a big one (and not cheap.). Includes drive belt, and possibly spark plugs and brake flush. There are several inspections including the centerlocks and suspension components. Talked with the service advisor about the warranty ending and that I wanted to ensure we identified any issues. I doubt that had any effect on the work they did but hope that if something fails just after warranty I'd have a better chance of goodwill. I also did all the regular service, and some of the tires and brakes at the dealer.

sure

on non-full leather cars, the top of the door panel warps at the top where the window is. People have had them replaced under warranty on the 991 board.
