GT2RS STOLEN IN SWEDEN ****

Has the owner reported anything to eBay here: https://pages.ebay.com/securitycente...forcement.html
I realize this is in Poland, but eBay IS international and what I've read is more than suspicious.

I'm looking at 3300$ a year with Hagerty and Grundy. I'm 48 with clean license, own home, great credit no recent claim payouts. Living in the Las Vegas area is driving the cost up. Who would have thought that the middle of the desert would be one of the most expensive places to insure, SMDH

As I mentioned, you don't get the full premium discount on a $100k car since most losses are not total losses. But I agree that it is reasonable (much better deal than I'm getting on cheaper GT3, proportionally)...

2RS is going to be double on the stated value.

We will start talk to the insurance company in a couple of weeks.
What that will lead to is unknown.
We have moved on - the car is gone - bummer - I'd planned 1 month at the Ring with the 2RS but ended up with 1 month at the Ring with 09 Cayman S, LOL
I'm having fun - that is all that matters

Thanks for the suggestion,
That process is already started.

Not for nothing, one could pretty easily take the bumpers off, take some pictures and put them back on and then continue driving...

The way this works is they have someone in one country posting the ad. Probably paid a nominal fee to post the ad, and that person most likely isn’t involved in the scam, if they are smart. Car is in another country. The cops come calling to the person who posted the ad, but they have nothing on them. Probably tell the cops an acquaintance asked them to post it for them. All internet activity originates from internet cafe, so any links between poster and thief are minimal. The people who stole the car are not the ones stripping it either.

I was just checking back here to see if there were any new developments. Sorry to see that the car still hasn't been recovered.
Aren't these cars equipped with PVTS? Wouldn't that help in this situation?
( I searched the thread and didn't see any mention about it.)

Hi,
The car is considered gone forever by the insurance company... There is no chance of ordering a new one since there wont be anymore built (for Europe).
The tracking system was disabled. It was the first thing I checked when the car no longer was in my garage. (The theft was done at 03.30 AM and I discovered that the car was gone at 07.30 AM.)
I believe tracking systems is really easy to disable temporary by using GSM blockers.
