Default 991.2 GT3 Engine Failures

According to this website there are reported engine failures on the new 991.2 GT3 reported in the UK, Sweden, and Canada. Anyone hear or have any information about this?

Yes I did see it including this Facebook thread, there's 5 reported engine failures with the 991.2 GT3. I wonder how many unreported ones there is as well.

You might need to create an account to log in. Look under Manuel Staiger https://m.facebook.com/groups/840678...cus_composer=0

Cannot believe this is happening again.

Seems to be a common theme is loss of oil pressure. Hopefully it is just a bad batch of oil pumps. Nobody needs another .1 saga. Before this takes on a life of its own we need to remember that this happened to a handful of cars.

You make a couple thousand cars and you are going to have some defective engines

From where is your car leaking? A couple poorly welded oil tanks posted here before - same for you?

I believe so Grant. I remember a thread with photos of the spots. Poor weld on seam I think. Come on. What do you expect for $200k? lol

Oh, didn't realize that this was posted earlier (along with Nick's comments of same). So just two cars with this fault that I know of. Maybe we should all buy Robert Linton's Carbon Fibre oil tanks just to be safe. Better yet, maybe Porsche should partner with Bob and perform the recall
