If you are serious, i wouldn’t freak out yet. The thing about the .1 GT3 was that the failure was always the same. In fact, besides the finger follower issue i think the only common failure on those cars was the thermostat. Besides that they are pretty rock solid. So before this becomes a real issue we need to have a lot more engines go due to the same problem.
Porsche is certainly analyzing the issue and inspecting the blown engines. I would think they would be more proactive this time around, if action is required.
so what iam hoping the experience will be great ....and as for recalls and bad parts I hope by November
when I get my car that they have worked out the kinks.
and as you know it's not always Porsche fault if parts don't always work as they should.

Rob has the right plan. I'd much rather be out driving my car and experience an engine failure than be on here with my car sitting in the garage worrying about a possible failure.

my car got delayed about 3 weeks in production. Guess when? right around Oktoberfest. Went into prdoction Sep 20, got out Oct 15. I had some conspiracy theories at the time, haha, but who knows. May be they caught and fixed the problem with my car. I think not, these are just material goods designed and put together be mere mortals. ...unless it’s the 1990s and the car is assembled by some Japanese immortals.

with 2000 GT3 approximately produced worldwide and these cars many of them tracked heavily this does not seem to be the same type of epidemic failure rate that plagued the previous Gen with the finger follower debacle.
based on the fact that these failures occurred both at low speed at high-speed although not a mechanic it sounds like a oil pump issue to me
I also have confidence that PAG was on this issue from the jump when it surfaced.
