I purchased my 991.2 C2S from Town Porsche and was hoping to get a GT3 at MSRP but no dice.

I’ve bought 3 Porsches from them and also had the same experience.

Eric I hope you get atleast 180
but dealers usually try to take the car lower then what the manheim prices are bringing.
so they have a cushion to unload the car at the auction if they can't sell in the store.
or they will call around used car dealers that buy up there used cars and unload that way
and still make something .
nature of the business..dealers don't like to lose.

The one plus even if the offer is a little lower is that you don’t have to deal with the tire kickers and all the people who come up with excuses. The dealers have the cash. If you can take advantage of the tax credit that is a bonus.

I have pre-sold cars and they held the credit until my car came in. Sometimes over a 1 year.

same experience when trying to get .2 GT3 but I think most dealerships are taking the same strategy, just depends on how low the trade-in is.

Funny you should say that. I asked one of their employees about an RS and he said they had 2 of them and at MSRP. That was Saturday and the cars are on their website. Of course I did not believe him. Not sure if that employee was in sales.
