992 GT3 is in fact going to have an NA engine.

I don’t understand the hate on forced induction, it’s just better (opinion based, but really all things equal, turbo will be better) hybrid electric cars are definitely scary and I think the majority of us agree that it should stay out of this segment. Electric is a fad, like 3D tv’s
And I completely disagree that electrics are a fad - I believe we are on a one way journey to all cars becoming electric, but perhaps that’s a topic for another thread?

This reported yesterday. More and more of this but who knows. I bet it will be fun to drive with the massive torque increase.

Not much of a gambler, but I'd be willing to put some money down on 992 GT3 being turbo. Not sure why it wouldn't be. Porsche will sell every single turbo GT3 in a flash, while relieving itself of all of the emissions hassles.

But no one here knows anything for sure!

There are a lot of good two-pedal cars out there, but they're not for me. Tried PDK in a Cayman S for two years, and the car sat in the garage (was brilliant on track, however). Current 911 Turbo/S is stunningly good, but don't need that much of everything. Increasingly, what I pine for are simple cars. There isn't really much left on the new car market that interests me, personally, as a fun car: Carrera/T, current GT3, Evora 400, GT350, 500 Abarth, and...that's about it.

I’m seriously curious.
If Porsche did offer both a NA and FI variant of the GT3/RS, I wonder which drivetrain would sell more.
Especially if the FI version was up something 150hp and tq.
Sort of how the current GT3 RS compares to the current GT2 RS.

Other than a few die hards like me, I think in that scenario the vast majority would go for the turbo version.

That would be messed up. But why would they. All .2 gt3 are sold anyways.
Again... the speculation will go on and on and on...

Honestly I think its "991.1 RS is the last NA RS" BS all again. Methink next gen will be NA.

My guess is that 992.1 GT3 will be Turbo and then Porsche will fix it in the 992.2 GT3, a few years later, selling the car that should have been for a premium.
If I remember properly, this is what they did with the 997 GT3 (forced heavy sunroof on the .1) and the 991 GT3 (forced PDK on the .1)
