Touring Intake Air Filter Options
Found this on Suncoast: https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU992GT3EAF.html But states it’s the same as the OEM intake filers. Any other less restrictive options out there or is that as good as it gets for now?

Traditionally, GT3 come with paper filters and the RS with some sort of BCM filter. Some vendors here refer to the new GT3 (wing) stock filters as paper. (And that the BMC has 40% better air flow), but suncoast says their listed BMC filter is factory replacement with original Porsche part number...

I saw this wording
"Genuine Porsche Engine Air Filter Kit.
Factory replacement air intake filters for 991.2 GT3 Touring models. The factory uses these high flow BMC air filters as standard equipment, a custom designed filter with original Porsche part number and Porsche stamp on the side.
Fits the following models:
- 2018-2019 GT3 Touring models (not compatible with regular GT3 models)."

Not sure why you would prefer paper over a BMC. BMC filters are the best in the world. Made in Italy and standard equipment on many super cars plus used extensively in the racing world too. My guess is the touring gets the BMC bc it doesn’t have the forced air induction like the standard GT3. This probably makes the rate of air intake about the same and power etc same. Now add BMC’s to the standard GT3 and perhaps you get 2 or 3 hp. Dunno.
