At $500k, a new gt2rs or a 2011 gt3rs 4.0?
So assuming you have to pay an ADM on a new 2018 GT2RS and the cost of a 997 GT3rs 4.0, what do you buy and why? Both are around $500k (unless your GT2rs is PTS, CXx, or WP) and will be very low production numbers and both are going to and already are very desirable. Thoughts please. |

Wow, three responses and three different answers. Any justification?

Rs 4.0, no hesitation.

4.0 |
Assume this is related to future value??

4.0 for me

Value entirely aside, just for love of the car |
If those are the only options, I’d have the 997 RS 4.0, limited number and the whole 997 small chassis experience and a manual. If I were setting the options, I’d have a 991.2 GT3RS and a Maclaren 600LT for the same $500k. Ryan |
Easy...4.0. It has and will stand the test of time. It has earned it's value, whereas the current 2RS, as a valued collectible, has not,. And with the manual transmission and the Mezger motorsports derived engine the driving experience of the 4.0 is truly sublime. Also, the size of the 997 car is the sweet spot for a 911. Oh, and don' forget the fairy dust.
