You'll be able to buy 2 GT2RSs with a 4.0 in a few years. haha

Do you want exclusivity or performance?

The GT2 RS is probably a better car in almost every conceivable way. But definitely the 4.0 gets my vote. Better isn’t always better.

For $500k, I would get a nice 997.2 RS 3.8 and a 991.2 GT3RS. Oh wait, that's what I'm doing right now!

Not having driven either extensively on track or road, I could not comment myself. But interesting comparison. The 4.0 wasn’t received with such overwhelming praise by owners when it came out (perhaps partly due to how good the 3.8 was), so it is amazing that for many it now beats the current top-GT cars hands-down. It all comes down to how you use the car of course, but imv the 991 offers a staggering breadth of ability on road and track that the 997 just cannot meet. So for those that prefer the latter, I guess it all comes down to character, and that is something that’s hard to get unless you’ve tried it yourself. Which sadly I haven’t yet.

Agreed. A bit like the cgt, the more the values seem to go up the more people seem to be convinced it's better than before when ironically the cars are consequently being used much less.

You can always get a GT2 RS vs the later, and turbo and hybrid cars will be raining down for wash access. 4.0 hands down because they will be gone, and gT2 RS will come done to normalcy as hype dies.
