Default Clutch too light on 991.2 GT3

Coming from a 997.2 RS and a Spyder recently, I feel like the clutch is just a bit too light. On track, it feels even lighter. Anyone think the same? I'm thinking of changing the clutch spring to see if I can make it feel more like a GT4/Spyder clutch - IMO those are just about perfectly weighted. Seems like the 996 folks did this mod quite a bit.

I've heard that from many people with manual .2 GT3s, so it seems common.

Fanatec makes rubber cylinders you can use to adjust pedal feel on their sim pedals - maybe you can use them on Porsche? That's a joke of course. I hope everything is going well!

Maybe you need to work on logging more couch potato hours so your legs atrophy. Then the clutch will feel heavier.

Just keep at it, from what I’ve heard it just takes getting used to and once you adjust it’s fantastic!

This seems to be a complaint of people who have/had manual 997 GT3s. I haven’t but have been fortunate to own a manual e90 M3 and a GT4. I find the clutch and the MT in this GT3 to be perfect, better than the GT4 and the two S2Ks I test drove (perhaps not enough seat time). Is there an advantage with a heavy clutch during street or track driving other than being reminiscent of a 997 GT3 clutch?

Hate this clutch. Too light - non linear action -please let me know if you find improvements

Does anyone have the page in the PET for it? Is it boosted?

Yeah, the clutch felt like a feather...I would have liked a little more heavy. Made me feel like I was getting a working when I drove the 4.0. haha

I hated it, that's why I got the PDK. Unnaturally light and actually devoid of normal take-up feel, with non-linear progression of engagement. A clutch for people who don't know what a clutch is.

I thought I wouldn’t like it either based on people’s posts. I was wrong though. I prefer a slightly heavier clutch but the car was so enjoyable to drive around Europe and the Nurburgring. The overall package and performance is great.

I too would like to know the answer to this question. Only other manual I have experience with is an e92 m3 and the .2 blows that out of the water. Do people feel like they can better guage and manipulate the catch/engagement point with a heavier clutch? What benefits do a heavier clutch have for performance driving?
