Clutch too light on 991.2 GT3

Heavier clutch gives you more "feel" on the performance and can help modulate on downshifts and takeoffs......and as they say a better closer connection to the mechanics of the car...

It is lighter than previous GT3s for sure. Took me about an hour to get used to it and now it feels great. Very fast, good feel and easy to use. The gearbox / clutch combination is superb.
Give it time, then drive an older GT3 with heavier clutch and see which you prefer.

The clutch spring part number is 99142308111. Below is a picture of one i've taken apart. It's pretty easy to see why it feels non-linear. It works in an inverted way, pulling the pedal back up into position instead of pushing up behind the pedal. I'm going to have the spring tension measured and also compare it to the GT4 and 997.2 GT3 part.
I don't see what all the controversy is here. It's not a performance mod, just a personal preference. I've got over 20 track days on my new GT3 now and close to 10,000km - I'm used to it and it works fine, but I prefer a heavier clutch. When I switch back and forth between my 997.2 RS and the touring, I enjoy the heavier clutch more, and its way more assuring on track. IMO this mod is in the same class as a slip-on exhaust - just about what you like.
Heres a good video on youtube showing how it works on a 996.
.
PS. 1Gunner. I think I saw your car at Calabogie a month or two ago. It looks amazing!
PPS. MaxLTV. Good to hear from you! I'll PM you next time I'm back up in Van - we should try to coordinate a track day on the island

We complain about the .1 not having a manual transmission and a DFI motor; Porsche comes back with a manual transmission option and an amazingly special engine. Now we complain about how the clutch is too light and it doesn’t have the same “feel” as what a “real clutch pedal” should feel like. Jeez, can’t we all stop complaining and just enjoy it? Lol!

clutch is light, but you can adjust to it.
but it's not just the clutch, the shifter and the overall feel.
some like it some dont.

Already thought about going to a set of cup cables - probably next mod on my list. I don't mind the length of the shift throw. IMO making the clutch more linear and bit heavier along with cup cables might be *my* ideal setup.
