meanwhile I'm driving and enjoying my manual '18 after trading in my pdk '16. about to hit 5k miles on the former and traded in at 6.5k on the latter.

It would be easier if these things depreciated like rocks after driving off the lot so these threads about valuation would end.

Speaks volumes...

There'll ALWAYS be better and faster PDKs. There won't always be a manual GT3. Try one. You can always purchase a PDK GT3 next time around; after all, it may be the only choice you have down the road.

We have three manual Porsches and the PDK GT3. Lots of road and track miles on all of them. All are fun. The debate is kind of nonsensical - pick one or pick both, and be happy.

Amen...Much of this depends on the driver's approach....I am just as involved with my PDK in the manual mode because my brain is the engaged part making the decisions to shift feeling the car's progress...whether I flick the paddle or shift a rod it is the same mental engagement. As far as the clutch pedal it also starts with the brain...all of this is engaging to me....I have driven both PDK, tips and manual and they all are engaging with the car but the brain is the real personal involvement to me......it is definitely different strokes for different folks..we are all lucky we have these cars to drive..

Just wait until winter hits for the lower 48. I'd expect 10k-5k max for ADM and maybe even MSRP being common if we get lucky. Hard to get someone to pay 15-20k over for it to sit in a garage for 3 months waiting.

Adms are going down fast on both manuals and PDks....know of a 229 asking, 208 MSRP that sold for 200......a Manual in September..

Also know of a 162 that sold for 162...a PDK...in September...

Probably lots of other examples...

I usually prefer manual and could have gone either way for the GT3. I found a spec I liked, and it was PDK, so I went for it. I drive manual every day in my GTI, so a change of pace is nice. Plus with 9k rpm limit that comes up so quickly, I think PDK might suit it better when going hard.

Hey guys, I didn't want to start a new thread for this but maybe someone can help me out.

I have a friend been offered a 600 mile Chalk winged GT3, pccb, black wheels/headlights, 14 ways, $168k sticker, for $190k from a dealer.

I was going to tell him that $10k over sounds about right but I was looking on ebay, AT, cargurus, etc and it seems like the market might have ticked up a bit on these, or at least the asking price market.

$22k over for a used non PTS car seems very high to me so I'm hesitant to recommend the deal to him, but is this where the market actually is?

Thanks

Seems really high. Plenty on here at like $10k over and still not selling. I would recommend that unless it was an allocation.

Very high. Like I said above, I personally know of one with break in miles that sold just under msrp.

Thanks guys.

I must be searching wrong cause I can't find listings with these kinds of numbers.

If you have any of these listing links would you mind sharing them?
I want to forward them to him so he can use them to negotiate.
