Default Anti-theft for insurance purposes?

I just bought a GT3 and when I set up the insurance policy, my agent asked whether the GT3 was equipped with an anti-theft device. I laughed and said that it would never be out of my sight.

But, more seriously, is there any anti-theft device/service in the US similar to that which I have seen announced for old and new Porsches in Europe? Obviously, this would be a nice feature and with all the built-in electronics ought to be a simple software service.

you can get an alarm, or a tracker. either way it likely won't make a large difference on your premium and you'll have to install it or let someone else hack up your car to put it in. I just roll with the stock Porsche device and let me insurance handle it if that doesn't work

What stock Porsche device? I can't find any reference or spec for an OEM anti-theft device.

I could be wrong, but I had always thought they had one included. Couldn't find an online manual for the 18, here's one for the 991.1 for reference

This is the typical motion alarm system that has been along for years. My insurance agent was referring to anti-theft systems to would track a stolen car, presumably internet and internet based.

Typically, it requires an aftermarket alarm system or a tracking system like LoJack to get insurance discounts.

Yea, of course no gps tracking. As mentioned discount from insurance is basically nothing which tells you how useful it really is.
