Sent you guys a PM.

I am very pleased with my Cantrell roll cage in my 991.2 GT3. The top bar is arched to fit closer to the roof. Had Cantrell install it and 6-point Schroth harnesses at their Bellevue WA shop. I understand they have the seat prep on the passenger side done by an outside vendor. To me I see no difference in the end result between the driver and passenger anti-sub belts where they pass through the seat cushions. They even scored me a seat belt buckle to defeat the seat belt warning light when I'm using the 6-point at the track. Great shop! I have all my track prep done there.

My 2012 Carrera GTS had the 997 GT2 seats and I did a rear bar and Scroth harness and passenger seats had the slot in the seat and seat cushion already.

I know the 991 GT3 LWB passenger seat doesn't have the seat or cushion slot for harness, only driver side does. Why did Porsche do this? What are you guys doing for the passenger seat cushion to put a slot in it? I figure I'd need to take the passenger seat cushion to a upholstery place and have the slot put in???

A-workx or Manthey Racing or get a rally shop to do one for you in similar design to Porsche, it might very well be even cheaper than buying those ****ty pointless ones US vendors have. Subaru's FULL roll cage (including under the dash) cost around 15k a bolt on already designed back roll cage that doesn't need stripping will be at least half if not less.

Still surprised nobody is offering a Ti rollbar to replicate factory.

We carefully cut the shell and reupholster the cushion to match the driver side seat.

If you're bored one day, take a ride up here to Ponte Vedra (around 3 hrs) and I'd be happy to do it for you in my toy garage. Also have to put a hole in the carbon fiber shell. Whole job takes 45 minutes or so.

I use an oscillating tool to cut the hole and a dremel to clean it up. I've done around dozen of them.

I'll be in Sebring this weekend with Chin.

Hello everyone.

Question re Roll cage.
Has anyone noticed any adverse effects on the CG of the car after installing a roll-cage?
To me it seems a lot of weight high up... how does this effect the roll tendency of the car?

Thanks and cheers

I have a buddy with the BBI cage. Looks great. But it does make noise when car goes over some bumps. Like a metallic pinging or creaking sound. Best guess is it's the two halves of the cage moving slightly. Was wondering if anybody else has experienced this? And if there's some way to combat it, like maybe a rubber gasket or some type of caulk applied to the the mating surface of the front/back halves of the cage?

My BBi does that, or at least it did a little bit after my first track weekend. I haven't driven it since so I don't have any relatively current feedback.

RSS does a solid 1pc bar. I used RSS in my 997 no rattles. I have heard 2 piece bars can and will rattle. I've never owned a 2pc bar so don't personally know but just what track friends have mentioned

There’s a thread on this somewhere. if It’s on a 991.2 GT3 there is a service bulletin on the rear springs. The noise is amplified with roll bar install. Not sure if that’s the issue or the roll bar. Roll bar should not make too much noise.
