Default Yikes, Removing Wax from a Matte Black Finsh???

A couple weeks back, when I took delivery of my 16 RS, I really didn’t notice the residue on the wing’s uprights. The uprights/braces are painted a matte black on non-smooth surface. Indeed a perfect recipe for removing a PIA wax residue.
Before I go and spend $1000.00 per ounce Porsche Matte-Black Wax Remover...(I’m positive it’s a thing), does anyone have a “tried and true” suggestion of removing the residue. I’ve looked on line, and no where did I find something useful, although where does one obtain Humming-Bird Urine? (Beware of free advice online)
Much appreciated for your suggestions should you have one...
Cheers
JB

I have had luck removing wax using P21s total wash. For textured trim I use a soft tooth brush as well.

Wax and grease remover or car pro eraser would just wipe that off.

Yeah, I think CarPro Eraser may remove it. That shouldn't be too hard to get off.

I would use dawn dish soap in a little water and a microfiber towel. won't take muck elbow grease to get rid of any wax. just try not to let it get on the rest of the paint where you don't want to remove the wax.

I've had success using the chemicalguys wax trim remover.

regular isopropyl alcohol you'll find in any pharmacy, makes for a great wax remover and panel prep.

Hi Mr. Homesauce,

I ordered the Chemical Guys Wax and Oil remover as it has multiple purposes...and some additional micro-cloth towels. Mine seem to disappear every time my son comes to visit...

For the others that provided input...I appreciate all of the suggestions and will keep those handy!!!
Thanks
JB

I had the same thing from the factory of all places when I picked up my car in Leipzig. Feel like I used IPA but it was indeed a pain to get off. For anybody getting their RS detailed definitely tell the detailer to tape the supports. Harder to remove than just getting wax off of black plastic trim.

+1. Dish soap. Will strip wax off of anything it touches

Usually any quick detailer will take care of wax residue. If that didn't work I'd just use dawn, as it will strip off the wax from your paint and should take care of this no problem.
