Introduction, and my new-to-me 991.2 Sapphire Blue GT3

SBM is like PTS since it's been discontinued as a standard color. Great story, you sound like a legit petrol head and congratulations on getting your first 911 in your early 30s. I did the same.

Thanks! You know it’s funny, I watched a bunch of your videos back when I was first thinking about getting a GT3 in late 2016/early 2017, but then completely forgot about Sapphire Blue as a color until PoB was talking about cars they were trying to get for me. I had them looking for something in the silver family. Then they said they had a line on a Sapphire Blue (deferent car than I wound up with) and I was like “how did I forgot about this color, forget silver, find me one in Sapphire!” My first real performance car was a used 2004 WRX STI in World Rally Blue that I got in 2004, so I’ve always had a soft spot for a nice metallic blue. I even have matching Blue/Gold Puma driving shoes that I’ve kept since then 😛

I have never seen the "Corvette" in that location on the hood. Think it belongs on rear, passenger side.
Great looking blue car!!

The 1966 model's frontal appearance was mildly altered with an eggcrate grille insert to replace the previous horizontal bars, and the coupe lost its roof-mounted extractor vents, which had proven inefficient. Corvettes also received an emblem in the corner of the hood for 1966
