Default 3RS Eurodelivery & Quick 2RS Comparo

Just returned from a short but great trip to the fatherland .. took my 8yr old to pickup in stuttgart and drive to italy. We enjoyed tremendously the experience and it was good fun to let the car run on the bahn (though we kept it relatively sedate).

I was a bit surprised as the steering in the 3RS seemed just slightly less tactile/detaily than the 2RS. More of the micro road surface is transmitted to the wheel in the 2RS and I am curious what is different mechanically to makes it so ... the 2 is more tightly sprung but reading up on what else.

It goes without saying that the engine note and extra 2k revs in the 3RS are mind boggling and add to the overall sensory drama in a way that compensates for the extra torque in the 2RS. It will be tricky to determine which to keep over time!

Congrats on the cars and trip!

Regarding the steering, was one of the cars on Michelin and the other on Dunlop?

Good for you taking your son. You've got me thinking now. I've never even considered Euro delivery because my wife gets extremely car sick. Taking one of my boys might be the best option.

definitely the best option! i'm a firm believer that all porsche should be delivered and driven in germany and europe - its an incomparable motoring experience!

i've taken wife on one eurodelivery and 2 kids on each of the others!

I have one more kid on deck ;-) but that wont stop us from repeating!

More more !
Videos are awesome, loved the tunnel shot
Also the "230... 240...", that's priceless... kids have such a good time on this type of cars ! They hear the revs, and instant joy (I guess the kid in us is still there)

Really cool video with the drone... beautiful car, congrats.. thanks for the videos and telling how it feels to drive it.

Awesome trip! I’m picking mine up next month in Zuffenhausen; I’ve put 8000miles on my 16 RS so I’ll be able to hopefully describe the differences well at that time.

Its a blast doing ED with the kids. I alternate with my kids; last year was my 8 year old daughters turn, we had a blast! Only 2 seats limits family, which sometimes is actually a blessing!

Thanks again, awesome trip!

+1 all the above.

Were all picking up an RS in Germany haha.
Mine will be green as well looks like, just winter delivery is iffy.
ED is a huge part of buying a new Porsche.
