People should be concerned with buying tires in bulk and replacing brake pads, rather than what the car will or will not be worth in 2 years.

the 2019 G is modern, most things wrong are fixed. I’m sure it’s nice

2018 and prior g are a thrill ride...even at 20 mph. It’s much much more fun than any Porsche at slow speed.

in my opinion it will end up a classic, like an air cooled 911...it’s hand built and u can tell it.

You our have to drive one...it’s a car guys suv

Thanks, Keith. I agree with you. I honestly enjoy both transmissions for different reasons. Best to have both if you can. Can't go wrong either way.
I really wanted to set a good time so I could use it as ammunition the next time someone is crazy enough to suggest PDK is substantially faster. The only advantage PDK has at Laguna Seca is T6. The car would be more settled for the entry of that turn if it was PDK. I give it 0.1-0.2 second advantage at Laguna.

It is really cool. Loved the feature.

Meh, he's ok.

There's at least another second or more. I'm positive Pobst will get a low 1:33 in the car, just like he did with the .1RS. I'm still not using all of the track at exit and could have been more aggressive with the throttle.

Thanks, man! No apology needed. You're supposed to drive your line and I'm supposed to move around you. It worked exactly like it should. I was shaking my head because I was getting psyched up for the lap. The car was feeling really good on the warmup laps and I was certain a fast lap was coming up.

Anyone outside of NA can drive a manual, including their granny. But 95% of NA’s can’t drive a manual because they’ve never had an opportunity. NA has just never been manually car friendly.

In CarGurus.com, I see at least 3-4 .2 GT3s going for over $180k, with just a couple thousand miles on them. Likely flips like others said. Sad.

Something may be darker here. In spite of all the "interest" in GT cars maybe the real car interest Is much less smaller with a greater percentage seeing the GT's as a fun, momentary "investment" with some chance of ROI. Porsche may not care but the many real car guys that wanted/wants one for what they were built for miss out at least at the beginning. Not sure on the ADM crowd as that money looks lost.

Just picked up my manual GT3 last week - by far the most engaging, fun, insane car I have ever driven in my life. And I've only brought her to 5k RPM. Let me know when there are manuals selling at a deep discount - I'll scoop them all up. This is the most fun you can have in a car for sale today. Not even close. And I've driven them all.

So you've driven all cars for sale and this one, kept under 5k RPM, beats them all? Quite the statement.

No, just meant I've driven a lot of the competition and this is my 18th car over the years. Not saying I've driven all the cars for sale but this GT3 manual is by far the best car I've ever driven in my life. Subjective of course.

Maybe the hype around the 6MT was less about the "engagement and driving pleasure" and more about how it was supposed to be the last 6MT in a GT car!! Now that this is likely not the case and more MT are expected in the 992 and the 992 might not be forced induction/turbo after all, could the euphoria be dying down and people are selling their 6MT GT3s faster to try and milk the last price premium over the PDK before the market converges for the PDK & 6MT?
