Pretty lame IMO. Spike has no idea what he is talking about. Matt should do this stuff by himself.

^^This. Needs no wing, PCCB's, 18 ways and deviated stitching to truly be appreciated

The best part is when Matt stops talking mid-sentence as he is about to pass 8000 rpm, followed by a few seconds of silence which is then broken by both of them giggling like kids as the car hits 9k.

We can all relate to this child-like joy.

Very good review- just reinforces how good the 4.0 engine is. The whole drive in the GT3 T was the Engine. That is what we are all paying for

That new 4liter flat6 is the golden ticket... the Fabergé egg!

Wing or not. Stick or not. Ceramics or not. Buckets or not. PTS or not. Loaded or bare. The new 9k motorsport 4.0 is really the true winner.... the rest is just minutiae.

ouch that familiar cringe when they talk about how they can feel the difference in downforce from not having a wing while driving at about a third of the car's limit.

No doubt that the GT3 has evolved to what all cars are measured by!

I will say that we had an opportunity to spend some time in a 911T recently... Very impressive machine for those who simply cant get a GT3.

The one we spent time with wasn't very heavily optioned and did have the carbon buckets as well. MSRP was a tick under 120 and for those who are considering it as an option I would highly recommend it as an option.

I know its the last year for the 991 chassis and the new 992 will soon be here but I have to admit its a very nice car and really does embody the true spirit of a drivers car much like the GT3 but for less.

We are working on some complimentary go fast bits for the T that should bring it to near the 500bhp mark and that should make it FUN

In my mind, there is no point to buying a T and optioning it up. Then just get a regular Carrera or an S. The T is best when had as is with a few options. The beauty in the package is that it gives you most of the Performance goodies (RAS excepted) standard. The weight savings is fun but negligible.

Great car, if you want your 991 to be all about performance and can't stretch to a GT car.

As a review it was pretty lame, it certainly capture the fun factor of the GT3. Options and details were poorly communicated, maybe the intent for these is present the experience like a couple of friends trying each other’s car, but suggesting the audience select or don’t select certain options breaks that paradigm too.

I watched it twice (once while multi-tasking and again when i could focus), worth the watch but an odd mix of personalities and style.

Best part, as always, was the sound of the GT3 engine!

Agreed with both of you. For a "renowned" Porsche collector I expect more from Spike.

Also agree.
Maybe its being in front if the camera and being filmed vs just riding along talking cars with your buddy.
IMO video would have been allot better with just Matt comparing the cars.
