That's quite amazing, even with all that extra HP in the RS, GT4CS stacks up pretty well. Goes to show its all about mid engine balance and lightness.

Slicks vs street tires and weight advantage.

Will you do an alignment on the GT2RS before the shootout?

Friends tell me that it really needs that.

Goldcrest Motorsports will be reviewing both cars for setup. I will be driving the Cup Car that weekend for the Club race so the setup will be done for that also.

^^ Goldcrest probably hasn't played with a GT2RS before.
Perhaps you ask them to copy Kobalts Ring setup as a baseline?

Do you know how to obtain that? That will otherwise use the a neutral setup and make sure everything is correct and neutral. 4 wheel steering may add complexity to using a race car setup so going with a neutral setup seems safe.

I would be happy to help but I won't do the setup until middle of September. (I'm not totally sure that they will give it on paper even though they did give me the setup for my 991.1RS.)

BTW: Visited Manthey this Friday and the guy I spoke to claimed that the only way to get the GT2RS to ride properly is to change suspension. (I suppose it is to a 3-way KW suspension).
Not sure what to make of it - maybe it is just a sales pitch. I have not spoken to someone who have tried this. MR claimed the customers where very happy with the car.

All sounds good but we want to go Stock Vs Stock! I have to believe that setup on these cars can get tricky given the four wheel steering and various changes.
