Not going to see any sun at the track today so the track could be a little cool with ambient temps around 67. As someone else said, the cooler air may help the cars develop a little more power.

Since I determined I was going I was thinking about this. I'm not on FB or IG but do have a Twitter account. I know the OP said there was going to be a video crew there to capture the event, but if enough people are interested I could take pictures and video and post via Twitter or IG, assuming I set up an account for the latter later this morning. If the crew here would want to see that stuff reply here and I'll share my Twitter name.

OK guys, I've set up an IG account. My handle for that and Twitter is ApexDJStone. I'll try and get pics and video and upload them as best I can. Sometimes data transfer is slow at the track due to its location, but if you at least follow me you'll get updates whether things are working or not. I won't be logged in here starting now so if you would like me to specifically get something send me a tweet.

Very cool.
Was gonna drive up today to witness + spectate a few friends running but none of them are running today, only tomorrow... so I opted to head into the office instead.
I'll try to watch the IG account + this thread.

People like you are what is wrong with forums like this. How many of the above mentioned cars do you have track experience in? If the answer is one or less, perhaps you should refrain from your comments. I have plenty of experienced drivers telling me that they are not sure which car will be faster and by how much, and the last thing this forum needs is discussions about your houses and opinions. This event is solely for entertainment purposes, and if all you are here to do is talk nonsense, you would be doing us all a favor by keeping your unwanted opinions to yourself.
As you mentioned, this forum is for people to be entertained AND to occasionally share their opinions...even if they are different from yours.
Shocking, isn't it, that someone would express an opinion that is different than someone else's?!
Seems to be the way things are going these days...too many people under the opinion that "if you don't agree with what I say or think then shut-up."
Sounds very much like the views of a certain political party.
Now back to the test of the cars...

On the road, the GT2 RS is a honey of a car. Very linear power delivery with minimal lag especially in Sport which keeps the rpms up and Turbos spinning. Almost like a 7 liter naturally aspirated engine and very unlike a 911 Turbo S which feels very turbocharged. Turn in, mid corner and exit traction are all excellent on the road. Much easier to drive fast than a 997 GT2 RS or a CGT or even a 918. The GT2 RS is not a widow maker at all.
But haven’t driven the GT2 RS on the track, so Footsoldier’s comments are particularly interesting. Maybe not such a honey on the track. Sounds like it will take some experience and talent to get the max out of the car. Look forward to reading feedback from the driver on this test.
