991.2 GT3 how hot does your coolant temp get on stop n go traffic?
Fellow Rennlisters, I wanted to see what coolant temps you’ve seen on your GT3 stuck in stop n go traffic.
Over the weekend 90F weather, I was in stop n go traffic, mostly stopped for 45min, my coolant temp would get up to 216F n drop to 208f, in the past I’ve had my car in 118F weather cruising at 185/195F all day long, even on short 10/15 min stopped idle never seen past 200/210F.
What is your experience?

I actually haven't checked, but I noticed the fans under the rear spoiler have never turned on (at least I have never seen/heard it) even if outside temps were over 115F and sitting in traffic. Wonder if they work....

I've never seen mine more than mid 190's, even in 100 degree outside temps, however, I rarely sat in traffic without airflow. I just saw for the first time the other day my engine fans come on, and it was only in the low 80's.

What you are seeing is normal.
I have seen mine at 215 F on a hot day in traffic. Does not bother me one bit. It would take a whole lot to overheat these cars and I bet I could never make it happen.
