I am surprised your wife even knew what a Sport Turismo is. How will you take your family of 5 in it though... I thought it only seats 4

And that, quite frankly, is the ONLY thing that matters wrt the financial side of the transaction. Congrats!

Thanks for all the praise. But it's not like I'm father of the year for trading in an expensive Porsche for a slightly cheaper Porsche.

My wife has to listen to me talk about cars endlessly. She's quite knowledgeable actually.

The Sport Turismo comes with a middle seat in the back. More of a 4+1. But we will still use my wife's car for long road trips. With 3 kids under 10 they will easily be able to fit in the back for day trips and going out for dinner.

Interesting. I own a 16 E63 wagon and drive the new Panny (sedan) and found the Merc to have more personality. The Porsche is a very competent car but seemed meh? Or said another way, handling was tighter but less interesting engine personality. Overall if I was liking to change at my price point E63 lines up against a 4S and it's no contest. Taking on the other hand... the ST is one of the sexiest cars made in a long time. Just stunning. Here is a side by side with mind. All back w CCB for both.

OP, congrats on the ST!

I currently own both a 991.2 GT3 and a new Panamera 4e Hybrid ST. I love both and in some ways i prefer the Panamera..Rather bizarrely the Panamera is at its most impressive when going flat out on a windy undulating road..I make sure the suspension is in SPORT PLUS and the 2T car handles like a much lighter sports car..The new three stage Air suspension is a thing of wonderment in its uncanny ability to keep the car in check on a deeply undulating road..
Cross country my GT3 wouldn't be much faster as the huge range of 516 lb/ft of torque and fast acting 8 speed PDK always keeps the Panamera on full boil..Its a truly great car and drives more like a true Porsche than people give it credit..
Mines a totally blacked out example on 21'' Black exclusive rims and many people have commented its the best looking car in my garage, even sat side by side with my RY GT3 and CW 981 Spyder..

I owned a 15 amg wagon and now an 18 amg wagon. The 15 needs to be tuned in order to unlock the power, the 18 is night and day compared to to its previous and imo much better. Oh and pccbs don't make them any better imo.

My god that ST is sinuous and sexy.. but yes, you bring up a good point. V6 4S pricepoint vs v8 E63 no contest.

I'm looking at used market however, something in the $80k range.. I can't stomach new car depreciation.

I just added a Panamera Turbo S e-Hybrid to our household. It is my daily driver. You will absolutely love your hybrid Panamera, no matter the flavor. The interior is epic, technology seamless and really advanced, and a pleasure to spend time. I am loving the option of having full electric daily driving or press a button and you go fully mental sports plus - I have driven the regular e-hybrid and it is also really fun. Enjoy and give full details when you get it (in the Panamera forum)...

Love it man. Fast station wagons are cool. I'm torturing myself about the new Mercedes AMG wagon. Good luck.
