Default 991 keys

I recently bought a used 2016 911 GT3RS and just noticed that my second key fob did not have the physical key that slides into the back.

Is this normal with Porsche? This is not the case with every other car that I have purchased so I need to make sure I am not missing something.

Seems odd to only have one complete key.

You should have the key blade for both keys. Only having one key with the blade is not normal.

Is this specific to an RS? (long time P-car owner but recently new to GT3s) I have never heard of or seen a 'key blade' for these cars? What am I missing?

All porsche keys have this hidden mechanical key to let you into the car should the fob fail. Nice to have and should be there on both keys. If that little slide isn't clicked in it can fall out so I always make sure the key is pushed all the way in and the slide is locked.

i hate the key issue, i cannot see why i have to pull it out of my pocket, its totally ridiculous to not have it see the key in my pocket. lol I only let one key out at a time. the other is locked up or I will lose both

Wow- I never realized it had a key blade tucked in there.

Pretty cool

Most all manufacturers' key fobs will have a slot for a regular key.

And the lock is under the drivers side door handle. Nice and hidden, but you can get into the car if the battery is dead or the remote is dead.

You can also start it. There's a secret door on the ignition next to where you put the big key in that the little key goes into

I don't think you can start it without the full key, it links to the immobiliser.
