I am still waiting for someone to post using launch control on their delivery day off the lot in one of the break in threads....

Threads like this aren't helping, I'm now paying even closer attention to the transition... that being said the transition gives the car a bit of a dual nature personality which can be fun

Checked their web site, doesn't look like they have one for the 991.2 GT3. Does anybody else make one?

I think IPE makes an exhaust with a remote to open/close flaps at will...

Nothing artificial with the GT3

Add a Rear bypass and disconnect valves- all set

yes it's basically Vtech that kicks in. I plugged the vacuum hoses that controls the exhaust valves and now the vtech noises are gone

I'm actually relieved to hear others are as put off with this change in sound as I was from that video. Even better to know there are easy work arounds.

No, for now I'm happily daily driving my GT4. I just know its only a matter of time before all cars are electric/hybrid/PDK/self-driving Google-bots...I want to make sure I have the most badass N/A manual I can afford whenever the music stops.

Anyone daily driving their manual GT3?

Newbie question: how would one go about doing that?

Uncorking the exhaust is possibly the best mod one can do.
First you buy a center muffler delete, there are number of options.
If you are handy you can install it yourself, it's about a 3-4 hour job, take rear bumper cover off, take starctural bumper off. take off the OEM muffler and replace it with the center muffler delete pipe.
Once you install everting back, you can disconnect the vacuum lines from the bypass valves (left & right) and plug them. This step can be done even without removing the bumper, or hook the vacuum lines back up if you don't like the sound, they are easily accessible.
Other option would be to find a shop let them install it for you.

What have you used to plug the lines?
Any pictures? May be a WE project...

Here is a Vid on disconnecting the valves.

I myself used a hex bolt to plug the vacum line , a ballbearing can be used as well, Which ever you use make sure it's nice a snug and no vacuum leak. Also it's probably a good idea to use a rubber plug on the inlet side.

GR8, thx!

To get back to the topic, I found it a little annoying as well...
Doing this simple mod seems to be a step in the right direction!

I used the screw method, plus I also plugging the inlet nipple with a rubber/plastic cap as suggested above.
Easy peasy!

Hey Peter!
Hope life is good
What have you used as a rubber/plastic cap to plug the inlet?
Cheers

Does the valve modification have an effect on torque in the lower RPM range?
It was my understanding the valves provide a level of back pressure control.
