Amazing drive. Leather to sample would have made it unforgettable

Guessing he skipped most kerbs and the large carousel because of the low side skirts.

Not bad for a 2L turbocharged 4 cylinder motor.

Most insane 5 minutes of track video ever recorded. I’ve watched it 3 times now. Mind blowing speeds through the bends.

Cant help but wonder how much faster it could be with another gear? He was stuck at the limited for a good while toward the end of the lap.

Yes, absolutely. But nobody wants to break this one off car and top class pilot just for marketing reason. Other than that, even this record won't be broken anytime soon...

Do you think the 919 Evo tribute tour is done to convince us that hybrid is the future for our GT cars?

(And to have fun too if course, celebrating 70 years big time.)

This was a truly awesome lap to watch. Superhuman skill. Just cannot believe it was 35 years in the making.

That occurred to me also. Not just Hybrid, but also Turbocharging (and also 4-cylinder engines )

Ha. Yep. I'd have no prob with a turbo 4 cylinder if they could get the weight of the car down to 1800 lbs.
