991.2 GT3 front lip
New GT3 has arrived, but no FAL :-(
I can't find a replacement front lip (which I am sure I will need sooner or later) anywhere online.
Having a new one sitting at home will mean I won't feel quite so bad when I scrape it (likely on my out of the dealership, on pickup day!).
The original part seems to be of a soft plastic, are replacements therefore deemed unnecessary?
Would love to hear from someone who has already grounded their car with it (yes, those of you not lucky enough to have had FAL specified).
Thanks!

I bought a front replacement lip when I bought my GT4 with an expectation that I could replace it if it got scraped up too much. It came in a large box (67”x32”x8”) which I still have unopened in my garage. Despite being super careful, it would scrape on driveways or simple dips in the road. Then I’d go home and sand down the shavings to make the lip smooth again. After a while I stopped sanding it since it was futile to keep it pristine. My advice is pick one up when you totally wreck the lip or when you plan to sell the car. I now have a 991.2 GT3 and will not be buying a replacement and hope I don’t ever have to (my car has front axle lift).

I waited until Suncoast had a no shipping offer going and bought spare from them. Scrapped many a time even with lift but never bad enough to replace. Sold it as part of the car just to give buyer a bonus!

Even with a backside-of-my-hand knowledge of my driving roads, parking lots, driveways, etc I still scrape now and then even when being diligent with FAL. It just happens. I like several of the ideas shared before and have considered buying another to replace when/if sell or to hand off to the buyer as a freebie.
I'm slowly growing to be less emotionally scarred when a scrape of road-debris blemish (on the PPF) occurs--this car may actually help me develop a healthier mindset in the long run.

No FAL here either. The first few scrapes I looked at it to see what the damage was. Now I don't care anymore. When it scrapes, it scrapes. Not replacing the lip until it cracks or falls off :-)

First cut (scratch) is the deepest...I remember the first time I heard that front lip scrape on my brand new GT3 and couldn't help but close my eyes and cringe. Glad I got it out of the way

I'm probably in the minority here but I actually want a bigger front lip. Anyone know if the cup car lip fits? Seems like it won't because of the extended sides to match the fender flares.

To be clear scraping the lip is really a non-event in that it is literally a cheap piece of plastic and has been mentioned you can just sand the orange peel off and no one will know or be able to see. I did keep a spare in the garage just like oil and tires as I see the lip as a consumable. However, you do need to be careful that you don't hit it that hard that you break off the clips &/or crack the body work it attaches to. Then that does become expensive and might even get you a mention on the Carfax.

Does the replacement lip come with new mounting hardware?
