did the price of the front lip go up since 2018? Did a quick search on that part number and I'm seeing a consistent ~$250. So 20% increase in half a year. Lucky those who bought it as a spare to keep around while it was < $200.

I would think prices would increase over 2+ years

Anyone know whether a Cup lip would fit or any other options. Just wondering if more downforce could be added without "canards".

Isn't the 3RS front lip different from the 3? That would be a good option perhaps if the Cup lip wouldn't work. Manthey has a front lip coming soon -- check in with forum sponsor 311RS as they're the North American distributor. There's a thread here about their stuff.

Manthey Racing has apparently fitted a cup lip to the GT3, and they are apparently developing the necessary side trim to match the lip ... checkout the Manthey Racing thread for more details...

There was a thread on this somewhere with photos too. I think it also said the Manthy GT3 larger rear wing should be fitted for proper aero if front lip is changed.

Yep, looking to balance out the APR wing I purchased http://shop.aprperformance.com/index...product_id=498.

But I want it to be more than just a carbon fiber replacement. I am looking for a front lip that will add downforce which the Manthey seems to do.

I thought APR’s front was bigger/thicker and had a splitter. Also looks like wider wheel well wider parts are built in. I’ve been looking at doing front/rear/wing and would appreciate any first hand experience with these parts!

Thanks for the link...they have some nice looking stuff. Out of curiosity and looked at rear wing, side skirts and lips for the Vettes...same all carbon fiber stuff, same basic shapes and sizes as what they sell for Porsche cars...but the Porsche pieces are way more money...like around another $1000 or more for the same sized part for a Porsche compared to the Vette part. LOL

Yeah, of course the "Porsche" tax applies and then add the GT3 tax..... The rear wing has been tested on a 991.2 GT3 and it fits and it was great dealing with Tony Nguyen at APR.

Re the APR front lip I'm not sure I want to spend almost 2k for it since it will be more a functional piece. Given the beating the lip take on the track I'd rather just fit a plastic one - but larger like the Cup lip. Can't wait to test the APR wing on the track...but that will have to wait another month or so before I can my car to warmer climates.

What are the lower plastic "cups" that are directly in front of the front tires? They are barely 3" above the ground. Maybe 8" long and 6" wide but stick down a couple inches lower than the lip...

I believe these aid in directing air around the front tires. I hit these all the time with a FOL. I would guess it's 50/50 between hitting these and the front lip.
