Default Best Dash Cam - Inside and Outside View

Guys,

Can anyone advise on the best Dashcam? I wanted to get some good vids and share some of the new 3RS and 2RS.

wabting a cabin and exterior view.

it seems really odd an iPhone X can record from both sides at once, but hey.

I got the new 4K Blackvue but haven't installed it yet. If you want a dashcam for peace of mind to record in case of an accident or for police or something, the Blackvue is one of the best from what I can tell. If you want a cam to record cool driving vids, I'd say just a GoPro.

I just want it for cool driving vids and like the interior and exterior shots.

does GoPro have a front and rear facing option?

Yes its called GoPro Fusion, they tend to overheat so you’re gonna need to run it through a USB power cord (because the problem is more the battery than the processor)
The new 4K Blackvue is great too.

The Blackvue is nice for an actual dashcam. But it's not going to give you "cool" driving video footage. Sure, it's "4K" but it's still not as good as even the 1080P GoPro in terms of actual video quality.

I looked at a few setups but ultimately decided for street driving videos i didn’t want to risk being pulled over with incriminating evidence.

Blackvue, assuming you want a dashcam for security purposes and not for recreational purposes.

Hey BrntRubber, I'm on the same mission. Hard to choose the best multi-purpose DashCam for normal Road traffic and Track use.
This DashCam Thread on Rennlist may be helpful to you:
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/1071...k-dashcam.html

The main high-end competitors seem to be the BlackVue D900, Thinkware F800 and the new iRoad TX9, which seems to have the
widest range of peripheral information for street and road traffic such as lane following and closing distance monitoring using Bluetooth
for downloading data to a CellPhone without having to remove and handle that tiny microchip memory, GPS to monitor speed and location,
and accommodating the new 128 GB Memory Chips while using the latest Data Compression Algorythms.
The further you get into your quest, the more complex the choice will be balancing features, resolution, and ease of use.
Good luck to all of us trying, LOL.

i just ordered an updated version of a dashcam I had around 5 years ago. It is cheap and only 1080p, but is does what I want.

Accfly Dash Cam HD LCD Dual Car Dashboard Camera Driving Video DVR Recorder with GPS Logger G-Sensor Loop Recording Motion Detection

- it records the front and interior into the same video
- has basic data displayed.
- takes a micro SD card so I can have a large amount of storage.

I should have it early July as amazon items take ages to get here.
Likely not the best option out there but it does what I need.
