Any type of insurance is customized to each INDIVIDUAL. Threads such as this are worthless

I was pleasantly surprised that USAA quoted me $657 annually for the '19 GT3RS. I have nearly a dozen vehicles on the policy and I guess they realize that I can't drive them all at once. My insurance includes a large liability umbrella as well as $500 deductibles. It might help that I haven't had a ticket posted for nearly a decade. I have gotten a few tickets but managed to get them dismissed through Written Trial by Declaration and Trial Du Novo.

True. But the thread I started a while back has some other useful info like certain things to ask and verify on your policy before signing as well as a list of some lesser-known companies and all that. For example, you can usually knock your total premium down by also getting an umbrella. In my situation, the price including a $2MM umbrella is cheaper than without, even if the umbrella is useless.

One potential value to such threads is presumably to learn of insurance companies of which one is unaware and with which others are happy. We switched from Chubb to Cincinnati after evaluating them and also Pur. All agreed value, all combined with homeowner, umbrella, etc. We’d been dissatisfied with Chubb for some time and we are now getting more coverage for less money and have a sense that if we need to make a claim we will have an easier time. Much comes down to one’s broker, and we now have a much better one than we’d had previously.

Yup and thank god because they are the only company other than Chubb which will write my one house (no joke Chubb wants 8x what SF gets)

I'm with Liberty Mutual and had a conversation today about rate increases. Apparently here in the Las Vegas area rates are going to possibly double at renewal. Was told 5 insurance company's pulled out of NV and the remaining will be targeting high end cars for high rate increases.
I'm seeing more and more ambulance chaser commercials recently, starting to make sense to me.

Had the same issue with Allstate. After a few phone calls, they agreed to go up to $150K coverage. They based it on sticker price, not replacement cost. Thats fine..

Joe - you change cars so fast that you kinda solved that issue. GL on the 3RS incoming, that will be the rare one

Does not cover racing of course (even though it doesn't exlude in the policy which means they would probably lose in a lawsuit). I'm insured with a company called Pekins, but they do 2 homes and several cars.
Ditto on USAA at $650/6mo for GT3T ... and get this, the GT3T is only $10 more per month than the GT4

Using State Farm or any mid-low level insurer is not a good Idea. I have Chubb on an Agreed Value for my car. Pay a bit more but Headache free if you have a claim. Pay me now or pay me later...More

Your paying $657/yr for a 19 GT3Rs as a 13th car. Your assets clearly are over 500k, so why have that small USAA policy?

And a liability only umbrella is worthless at those limits. Why not protect yourself with all those assets ?
