I'm at 1700 miles and if I don't drive it for a few days or a week the 1st gear start takes a few times to get smooth again. If I'm driving it a few days straight I really start to enjoy it, quite a bit different than the GT4 but in a good way.

Could the light clutch feel be fixed aftermarket with a different pedal spring? I love the feel of my GT4... and plan to keep both cars. I’d hate having to constantly “adjust” between cars...

Coming from a GT4, my only complaint about the GT3 so far is the shifter...it feels too notchy. Getting into 5th especially takes a little extra push. And not in a good way. I thought the GT4 gearbox was perfect.

As for the clutch, it was definitely odd at first since it's noticeably lighter than the GT4. Not just a little lighter, but much lighter. I didn't like it at first, but after a couple of 300+ mile drives, it felt perfect.

I've stalled mine a couple of times and only had it 5 days. I've never stalled my M2, so it is a tricky clutch

ive stalled mine 2 or 3 times. valet at my car storage place also stalled it 1st time. so you're definitely not alone.

back in the day I went from a Miata to a Boxster back in 2002. The clutch was so much different (stiffer) than the Miata. As with any manual car, you will adjust as it is just muscle memory

I find the .2 GT3 manual / clutch very hard to shift smoothly compared to my GT4 or M2. I end up with a very clunky shift when driving around town and it drives me nuts. It feels like something related TJ the throttle mapping plus the incredibly light clutch that only engages at the very top of the travel.

im sure I’ll get used to it eventually, but I think the GT4’s clutch with more progressive engagement was easier to learn initially.

Bit of a learning curve but easier than the 997 GT3s. What bothers me with the 991.2 is its so boosted you can barely discern the clutch engaging. 997 was the opposite problem, pronounced engagement point but the release zone was not progressive.

You should stall every once in a while, that way you know you’re not slipping the clutch. Good job so far!

I have stalled twice as well. The light clutch takes some time to get used to. My GT4 is far stiffer clutch and going bak and forth between the two is a pain. But that clutch on the GT3 is sooooo sweet. Makes Heel and Toe so much easer

This is the problem. I'm at 2k miles - it doesn't get any better. This clutch flat out sucks, and needs to be addressed. All 997 versions were superior.

I think the main problem is - this clutch pedal "grab" is inconsistent. Sometimes it grabs right away, other times it has a mind of its own.

My Touring is quite easy to stall if you try to move from standstill with minimal gas input, below a certain rpm range it will shut-off without warning (probably a computer controlled thing) ... you just need to be aware of it and use some extra gas.
Basically you can not avoid the engine to stall pressing the clutch again and giving more gas once the stalling process has started and the rpm have dropped below a certain range, like you would be able to do with an old manual.

On the other hand it is very easy to do aggressive take-offs with more than 3.000 rpm ... without any launch assistance.

I like the light clutch, as this would be a car to use also in traffic on long trips.
