I did 1200 miles last month with the seasucker at speeds up to 85 mph with no issue. No issues. Remember to check the indicators frequently and reprime the suction cups periodically. Also make sure the surface and suction cups are clean before applying them.

One version would be to drill the spoiler and through-bolt the fork mounts, and use Seasuckers for the rear wheels on the glass. Solid side-to-side solution. Yeas, I have thought about it -- life is short, want to enjoy w/o being held prisoner by shiny surfaces....

Mine is the Chalk Car. Zero issues but I stay at 80 tops. I dont use the roof as I have roof decals so mount on the glass and spoiler. I use the double suction cup on spoiler (its the extra wheel carrying attachment) for added security- 2 cups. They have never budged. I put both wheels inside. Enjoy with confidence!

I was going to ask at what speeds have these things been tested? Jealous of your trip OP, I spent 3 weeks in Provence last summer with my road bike, was training for a mtb stage race, man I'm not much of a roadie but that was heaven. I climbed Ventoux 4 times. Axel Mertz' development squad was there one day and I got heckled by the coaches in the team car. That was awesome! I also saw Mario Cipollini riding in his old Saeco kit sans helmet of course. Road riding in Europe is a completely different experience than here in the states. High quality drivers that give you a wide berth when passing.

I love the look of the red Trek bike on the red 991GT3.
if you want to use a bike mount on the car in Europe, you should check whether it has the necessary certifications to be street legal in Europe, at least I would do so. Putting suction cups on the thin aluminium roof to me seems not a good idea.
Why not rent an additional car so you can put your bike comfortably and not worry?

Thx guys. Enjoying the bike culture stuff in here, too.
NRBRNG-- looks from your pic like the Mini-bomber would also fit on the wing? Thinking of getting two of those -- one on window, one on wing, 8 suction spots, wide spread.

Thanks again all. The answer is an emphatic YES!
In order -- Switzerland, Italy, France, Monaco, Italy, Austria, Germany. Twisty roads, bumpy roads, fast roads, mountain passes, cobble streets, cities, bridges, tunnels, thunderstroms, downpours, crosswinds. Good times!
