Confused: Should I let go my 2018 gt3 for an RS allocation at sticker

I passed on a .2 RS because I prefer the GT3 design. Not in to a wing that looks like it was attached, No manual, and do not like those Turbo scoops. Even for an even swap I still prefer the GT3 . The wing on the GT3 looks sculpted with the body and the lines just look some mush more pleasant to my eyes.

IMO, order the RS and enjoy the GT3 until it arrives. Sell the GT3 yourself if the dealer doesn't come up. You will get a car that is better, a year newer with more warranty and much better currency for whatever you want next. Call a Ferrari dealer and tell them you have an RS, they will get you a car sooner as it lets them call Ferrari NA and argue for extra allocations.
Ignore all the prenticous responses - I have a 2RS and 3RS incoming that won't be my track cars. People seem to forget that forums are here to share knowledge and views, especially in light of the terrible state of motoring journalism.

Very good points.

There is always something better. An RS is perceived as more exclusive than a GT3, then there is the GT2RS and on and on until....
Or as was written on the BMW art car: “Protect me from what I want”
LOL, enjoy your angst. FWIW, I just sold my Corvette GS, the best all around sports car I have ever owned, including my last GT3. Yes, I’m getting the new GT3 and I keep thinking it better be effing awesome to drive, otherwise I’m buying another GS. And yes, the RS may look more the part, but remember you can’t look at your car and drive it at the same time.

I Think that orange clanker is next to my GT3.... Just like a shirt, a car has to make you feel good even if you don't have a mirror and there is no way the Vette would make feel like my GT3, 458, or AMG GT-r...

LOL! Well that Orange Clanker was actually an attention grabbing SOB. Every day I drove it, and I mean EVERY DAY, I would get thumbs up or somebody asking me questions when I parked it. No lie, the last day I drove it to the grocery store, I came out and somebody was taking pictures and another stranger was staring at it and told me how much they loved it. It was almost comical. After a while, that made me feel pretty, pretty, pretty good while driving it.
LOL!
Seriously, I hope the GT3 is just as fun- can’t imagine an RS being any more fun, but maybe...

Thanks Guys...my only issue is loosing money on the trade as they are offering 40k less than what i paid for the car including taxes and accessories. I do have the option to sell the car on my own as they are not requiring me to trade my Gt3 for the RS.
Loosing on the trade or through private sale is almost like paying ADM for the RS

How are you losing $40k on the trade? How much below msrp is the dealer offering you for the gt3? Taxes should be a non issue on a trade, as the taxes paid for the gt3 should go towards the taxes for the rs, no?
If flushing $’s down the drain bugs you, then consider buying 2-3yr old cars and keeping them for longer than five years. If you must have an RS, there seem to be a lot of low-mile .1s for sale at very attractive prices.
Switching objects doesn’t provide pleasure, seeking pleasure doesn’t provide happiness, and chasing happiness almost guarantees its non-attainment, so that’s smth to consider, as well.
