991.2 to 991.1 GT3 Steering Wheel
Has anyone swapped a 991.2 GT3 Steering wheel into a 991.1 GT3? Suncoast says it is not approved by Porsche at this time so they will not return the wheel. Has anyone attempted this? Thanks.

I know you can swap the 991.1 RS PDK steeeing wheel onto the 991.1 GT3, which looks similar (just has silver spikes instead of the black). The .2 GT3 May have different wiring (unconfirmed).

Suncoast is clueless.
Try Sunset next time. Better prices too.

There is a whole tread dedicated to it for Carrera's. No different with GT's.

What is approved by Porsche? Dealer ADM drama?

I do really like the .2 steering wheel in both leather and alcantara. Do I wish it was a couple more "mm" thicker- sure but it is the right size and like the black spokes

You can use the updated steering wheel on the 991.1. You just need to use the proper airbag and code it in. My local dealership installed it for me, I think it was about 250$ or so to install. Looks great, feels better, and is the one mod I will never think twice about. Purchased and customised to my desired spec for 2.8k (stripe, stitching, and materials used)

Thanks Jimmy!
I really couldn't tell you as the dealership coded it and did all the necessary work. I just provided the wheel is all! Shouldn't be more than 2 hours of labour though.
