Just gave up my allocation
Heart just wasn't in it. Never intended to use it at the track, no back seat, their asset- status has turned them into somewhat of a precious metal- God forbid they get a ding or Nick - just wasn't feeling like the right move for me.
My understanding is I've made the next person in line at the dealership a very happy individual. I hope that's the case, and I hope he's grinning from ear-to-ear this morning.
I hope he uses it the way it's intended to be used, and doesn't leave it sitting in the garage the way I would have.
I guess I'm more of a Spyder/Cab fellow when it comes right down to it.

- You’ve missed the point of a GT car. You don’t need to track it to enjoy it. Situational driving on streets and highways are a blast. The passion and enthusiasm for the car are felt at legal speeds. That’s what distinguishes GT cars from regular 911’s. That said, if your **** about keeping the car pristine you’re right high end sport cars are not for you. The fact that you posted your decision indicates your unsure you did the right thing.

Great of you to give to next in line, instead of flipping. Well done!

Hello Selo ,
wise and a kind and considerate move to yourself and fellow Porsche enthusiast , for you certainly are if you know enough to be posting here .
GT cars have really turned into a hassle to obtain , be nice if P awarded builds to only folks who can show mileage driven on ones present car and an ADM
charge to join the party for first timers or GQ crowd .
treat yourself to GTS Cab .
Congrats on your integrity to share your decision here !

GT3 manual.
Naw, I'm sure I did the right thing. Feel good about it. Just hope the guy who gets the allocation is a true enthusiast and really drives the s**t out of it. I'd be pissed if I ever found out he flipped it.

Good for you! Many would have kept the allocation and flipped it for some coin...

There are more .2 GT3s at dealers (just basic law of averages as more get delivered) however I am not aware of the market for them softening yet. I believe they still command a modest premium, especially the MTs

I had to give mine up a couple months ago due to a wife-initiated move to a place where I couldn’t keep it easily. I haven’t taken it as well as you have. The fact that I didn’t throw ridiculous tax and registration fees to the Republik of Kalifornia is the only thing that slightly softened the blow.

I didn’t even try to play this time around, ended up ordering a his and hers Cab S. I figure if the passion is still there, I’ll go after a 992 or a ( by then ) used GT3. Still toying with the idea of a 458 down the pike as well.
So many cars, so little time.

There are only 46 .2 GT3's on cars.com.....the lowest being $161K...........only 32 with pics of actual cars......the others are likely customer cars that auto-populate the website.....demand probably still outpaces supply.....
