I wonder if it was a full cage or half. It appears to be a half cage to me. If that is the case, it def answers the question of the half cages being useful.

His guy is going to have to use a special compound to buff that out.

After seeing this I begin to wonder if getting a cage, although I do not track, would still be a smart mod just in case some thing ever happens on the street.!!??

Id like to see more pictures of the inside. Appears the roof did not touch the sport cage to me.

Nothing will change....its had publicity because Porsche used it for the recent RS launch but it's well known that they have the only roads in teh Uk without speed limits...they even closed the roads to the public for the Porsche filming. Porsche using it for filming was great free publicity. The fact is that the IoM despite it being a tax haven feels anything but when you visit....it's an island in the middle of the Irish Sea which has a pretty stale economy and the local government struggles for tax revenues. Despite there being fatalities at the IoM TT almost every year (and most years multiple fatalities) nothing will be done because you can't make a street circuit like the TT safer....and the IoM needs the TT, would literally go broke without it.

I'm not sure it answers the question. Yes the car is on its roof, but we don't know how hard it landed on the roof. I saw a picture of a Honda Civic that was on its roof and the roof didn't cave in (no roll cage, half or full). So unless we know all the facts I don't think we can say for certain.

I'm sure a cage/half cage may help in a bad roll over accident that puts a lot of pressure on the roof. Just not so sure if this one provides proof unless there was a video showing the car slamming hard on its roof.

....or if the roof would have collapsed without a cage even in that scenario. Seen lots of roll overs of modern cars with no roof collapse and no cage. Not saying it's not a good idea to have one, just questioning whether you must have one.
