I know I risk getting flamed for this. But, if you are all so concerned or even dependent on the computer rev match rather than a proper heel toe, then you should have gotten a PDK. Just sayin'. Here's a smilie, so you guys don't hate me for my opinion

The algorithm is definitely different than on the GT4. On the GT4 I never had anything unexpected happen with downshifts. On my .2 GT3, rev matching seems weird about 5% of the time. I have not been able to quantify what is different.

I do know that occasionally when downshifting through two or more gears, the GT3 will sometimes miss the last one. Clutch is held in the entire time. The GT4 never had this issue.

What would be the benefit of downshifting multiple times while leaving the clutch in? Seems to me that you would want to release the clutch on each downshift for engine braking or otherwise just choose the proper gear the first time (even if that means skipping one or more), once it's appropriate to do so. Could be that I'm the one who is confused...

Probably no real benefits. Somewhat of a leftover from old school heel/toe days but also helps somewhat to prevent overrevs. For example I would go from 5-4-3 instead of 5-3.

I expect the GT4 worked the same as my Boxster. You put the stick in a gear, it rev matches that gear if possible.

The new system is obviously entirely different and perhaps the new "no-lift" up-shifts are part of that. I gotta be honest. I'd give that up in a heartbeat to have the old system back. I liked it better. There... I said it.

mine works perfectly. i found you have to depress the clutch all the way to floor; there is a timing/speed of depress and release of clutch to nail it perfectly.

Reading that a few people are saying it happens involving 4th gear.......Maybe could be tied into the particular cars that also have the shifter moving 5-10mm under acceleration, but only in 4th gear???
