Yes, I understand that. I'm just asking what others are setting up with for reference. Manthey is not here in Virginia, and my local shop does not have any experience with this particular car. They do have plenty of experience with Cup cars, GT3 and GT3RS, as well as my TTS. I'm just trying to compare notes with others for reference, and will make my own settings.

FWIW: Many times Manthey's setup is for the Ring. Maybe a bit softer and more ground clearance than on regular tracks. Of course they know how to setup the car for other tracks too but one must remember that it might be a setup for the Ring.

Seb, the beauty of having done many different tracks myself is that I can relate to lap times better having been there.
1.25 is flying!! The straight is a power sector up the hill, but the rest is all driver and handeling of the car. I looked at my video and besides the straight there wasn’t much full throttle.

Youre a great driver and the car works well!
It took me 60!! laps to do a 1.28 flat in 2015. To see you talk about a possible 1.23 is mind bending.
This is more driver then it is GT2RS.
Thanks for posting

Hello all!
Ok long time i did not post here because yes iam very active on INSTAGRAM now (sebastianvittel)

Well today my GT2 RS's got 24000kms include 14000KMS on the nurburgring and different track, but almost only nurburgring.

Iam in love today with this car as i never expected to be in love with any car.
Ok it was complicate at the beginning, scary, too much power, not fast as my ex 3rs, suspension pump a lot etc
But now after understood properly how it works, wow it is incredible, I drive it with CUP 2 R and original suspension with just camber setup by MANTHEY RACING and oem SUSPENSION and i can't imagine how it can be fast with the KW suspension!!!....

It is tooooooo bad that Porsche did not sold with the car one complete coaching day with Lars Kern to explain how the car works (i had the chance to did a coaching with him and saved couple of second, improved, security, speed, AND PLEASURE!! just with few tips and driving style adaptation)
I know that a lot of people sold the car because they disliked it, scared, not fast as their GT3 RS, too powerfull too much production so not price keeping blablabla etc...

I mean this car is not a gt3 rs with 200HP more, it is a different car, that must be driven different than a gt3 because the power and speed is sooo crazy and if you want to pass that power on the ground you must adapt an appropriate strategy

When you understood how it works, adapt the line and most important adapt a gentle and light steering wheel angle style driving, WTF i can promess that nothing can be in the league of that car, it is totally incredible.

My plan is to keep it off course one more season 2020, and maybe more i don't know, but wow just wow about the pleasure i have now with the car.

Also iam started to thinking to make some special COACHING only for 991 GT2 RS driver to explain how it works, i already had some few demand of gt2 rs owner and yeah if it can help some people to extract the pleasure from the car, it can be a pleasure for me i must say...

So guys if you are interested do not hesitate to contact me by MP, i can be fully available from September for this kind of coaching all around europe...

Seb, I won't be in Europe this summer, so can you share any tips on driving the GT2RS vs a GT3 or other Porsche? How is it different to drive for best lap times?

Good to hear more info after extensive track use!
Did you manage any good full laps during the granturismo event?
Did you have an opportunity to drive or ride in the 991.2 gt3rs at any point, any impressions in comparison to the 991.1 3rs and/or the gt2rs?

Looking forward to more great laptimes and videos.

To make it very simple, the GT2 RS is 200HP more than 3RS with the same aero, (a bit more stiff damper compare to 991.2 GT3 RS) same brake power and little bit more heavy, so offcourse we can not drive same same.

The driving line must be taken more early compare to gt3 rs or any other car, that because the speed and the power.
If you use traditional wide line apex etc it cost too much time and also the car move too much (because too much steering wheel angle, AND offcourse you cannot be early on gaz because the steering wheel angle)

If one day you do a lap with me, you will understand instantly :-) It is difficult to explain but this beast with 700HP must be driven this way.

Not during gT EVENT because i had a very bad back pain, but with my coach we did a nice job at the beginning of the week :-)

I did not drive the 991.2 GT3 RS but every people who got it and compare to the mark 1 claim about the suspension.
They all says the suspension of the mark 1 was better for the ring (because softer)
Is why i know a lot of guys who changed the suspension on mark 2 and because on that way with the better engine than mark 1 the car is an absolute beast!!

I never drove pccb on track, but for sure it will long less than my AP slotted with endless ma45, just this pads can do the whole track day season, so almost 15 hard track days
