And if you do have to put it on, what are you going to do with the full size? It will be dirty, brake dusted, and covered in tire treatment. I wouldn't want to place the on my LWB seat, even if it fits there.

Thanks for the comments, months of research went on the build to decide.

Don’t really know what to do with the spare tire, my dealer picks it as a mandatory option (they do that for some) so just received it as it is.

I’m not so happy with it to be honest, since it came on the bucket the leather on one side has a mark and I may have to ask for a warranty claim on it. Definitely will not use the kit on the seat again.

Great looking car! Congrats!
The spare tire option was an interesting one we don't get in my region. Seems to be a standard addition to Chile configs...
The Chile configurator states it is mounted behind the driver seat... Puzzled to see it on the passenger seat...

Magnificent. Riviera is so great.

How’d you decide on platinum wheels? They look great.
(I specced on my build too; now I feel better )

Very cool car!

Whatever you do with the spare tire kit, don't throw it away—it will be worth wild amounts of money on the concours circuit one day.

In the meantime, here's a request to unzip it and take some photos of the spare. Nerdy, I know, but good photos are nonexistent. Very interesting that your dealer orders it on all cars—is that a country thing, a region thing, or a dealer thing? In some countries, it is mandatory...so Porsche is stuck equipping the car with it.

I picked steel brakes for several reasons, I liked Satin Aluminum and Satin Platinum, Black was no option without PCCB for the dust and I don't really like to lose the design of the wheel. I just decided for Platinum because of the brake dust, for me both look great.

I will! Having a few more words with the sales department about these spare they mentiond it's not a requirement in the country but it is something they add with the higher cost cars in the spec as mandatory.

After a lot of issues with the dealer I decided to return the car, won't have a Porsche for a while...

I also dropped my Speedster reservation.

A lot of issues with the dealer or with the car? That's a pretty vague statement on why you would "return" a car....
