What's the process to make non paint related config changes to a V215 order?

Something like having the dealer or regional rep request factory to make the changes. I think it knocks the build all the way down to V110 and likely delays it another 2-4 weeks or more. I wouldn't mess with it. Just gotta live with the choice you made.

With my prior builds at V215 the paint color and quantity were locked and not changeable however there was a window for PCNA to unlock build, have the dealership make changes which temporarily took it out of its V215 status on their end and then PCNA would re-lock. Usually the changes are discussed and pre-approved so there is little chance the whole order will blow-up lol but depending on changes it may delay build.

However this time around I'm planning on finalizing build prior to the V215 as I've been told (by dealership GM so not yet confirmed by PCNA) that given backlog at "Exclusive" they may no longer allow any changes after the V215 color lock status. This was also due to errors that took place at this point in the process.

However keep in mind some changes are sometimes undoable at any point in the process like when there was LWB shortage. Customers who had them specked then changed to 18 ways could not get LWB back on the build.

Yea, they say it was going to become available for October soon, but never was and then got pushed back. November or later now, or never at all. Nothing will happen to October GT3RS on 6/25

I think I'm losing my mind over my GT3 build and all of this back and forth with Porsche..........
Allocations are separated into months, with no specific dates until a build date is confirmed. What I meant was for PTS submission for October allocations, but the cars will most likely not be built in October at all. most PTS will be pushed back a month or two or more of the allocation month. Non PTS cars will have a build date of the allocation month 90% of the time.

Your dealer will have to contact PCNA, they they will have to contact PAG. V215 is blocked by PAG. Porsche used to let people change V215 for PTS easier and more lenient in allowing people to do so. However, Porsche recently have become much more strict on changing any options (whether it has nothing to do with PTS or not) after V215. They will not do it unless for VVIP or extreme circumstances. It was a scheduling nightmare to go back and forth for Porsche.

Means an option you entered on the build (most likely custom options, special text/wishes, Z option, PTS, options with stop sale) cannot be confirmed by Porsche automatically through their computer system and populate a status or build date. So someone at Porsche will have to personally review what option caused it see if it could be resolved or denied.

It's going to be awkward taking delivery of 2018 model year GT3s in February and March 2019. Doesn't seem right. Is there a precedent?

yup. many. 2016 911R took delivery all the way to May of 2017. and 2016 GT3RS took delivery through March/April 2017.

Many regular cars with custom options were also taken delivery with model year past fiscal year. Leather to sample. Real color to sample. CXX.

I found out that my PTS allocation and cxx was approved today by Porsche. I had the allocation in January and my PTS was rejected in March and reinstated in late May. I get my build date on Monday according to Yana. I’m pretty fired up!
