They charged you $150 to tighten a clamp down on a battery terminal?

Yeah, if that is the case I would have told them thanks, but no thanks. Do not fix the problem I'll do it myself. How hard is it to tighten down a clamp, sheesh...

Yeah, was not too happy about charge. Of course they said it was cost of diagnosing and then eventually resolving problems. This is why there ad so many complaints about dealers. I hadn't bought car from this dealer so I didn't have much leverage.

hopefully it is something simple like this... my guess is it is electrical/connection related... car has never had any of these problems in the past and it has been, well, let's say... well used and used plenty...

Service department told me to go in a slow figure our about 10 to 20 times, stop, turn off the car, take the key our of the car, get back in and turn the car on, fixed. said it was the turning sensor and usually caused by a weak battery. shocked but it worked.

reporting back

well happily it was the simplest of the possible remedies... just a loose ground strap on battery terminal

explains the glitchy electrics on what has been an absolutely trouble free car through countless track days

onwards!

amazing that poor electrical connection would manifest itself 1st in an RWS fault and not elsewhere in the complex electrical system ... I stand corrected!
