My most missed Porsche is my 996 GT3. This must be amazing. Wow, wow.

I have never really warmed to the 993 RS but may take a look at one later this year. And as for the 2.7 RS, well that, and the 964 RS 3.8, are at stratospheric prices which are somewhat out of my league. Besides, the choice on a Sunday morning is hard enough as it is!

Edit
Congrats. I want to hear feedback when you get behind the wheel.
I drove a 73rs touring recently. It goes into the bucket of "don't meet your hero's". Actually it reminded me a lot of 964rs, more than it did some of the earlier LH's I've driven. It was fully restored; so, maybe that was the problem. It was totally athletic compared to older, unrestored T/E/S's I've owned/driven but it was not nearly as visceral. Maybe it was "over-restored", maybe I need to feel a LW? But at the price, a 964rs checks the box for AC RS experience better for me. The 73rs touring feels like 90% trophy, 10% drive experience vs a nice S or even E. I'm sure some would say the same about the 997 4.0. But for me, the spread between something like a 997 4.0 and other things in the 997 lineup is MUCH bigger than a 73rs and another non-RS Long-hood. Just my opinion.
The engine did rev like mad comparatively. Again, amazingly athletic; not very raw/visceral.

I think their maximum halo effect is parked, looking amazing, with all that mystery and history growing to legendary status in your brain as you lust after the dream to drive/own one. The crank of the key and drive down the road completely demystified it for me and made it feel like: a more capable Long-hood but far from a bucket-list driving experience.

Nice addition Chris. Would be my pick of the 996RS bunch too.
