Default Porsche Mechanic in Houston?

Hey all,

My Dundon headers & exhaust are inbound (finally) soon. I'm looking to see if anyone here has recommendations for a Porsche mechanic that they have used. I used to take my car all the way out to Mike Callas' place in Sealy, but I don't really want to drive that far. Im down south in the Clear Lake area, but i'm perfectly willing to drive anywhere in the metro Houston area.

Suggestions?

I have heard a lot of good things about Modern air cooled, and personal experience Porsche North service department is unbelievable.

I take my GT3 to Porsche North. I have taken my Boxster and Cayman to EuroCar Werk on Gulfton. Have heard good things about Modern Air cooled but no experience with them.

I'd drive out to Sealy - without thought .... Warren looks after my GT3 and most importantly the 73RS (its not the only one either )

North Houston Porsche is super.

Stay away from Modern Air-cooled. Lot's of bad experiences documented on RL.

I'd consider making the trip to Sealy. Warren does a lot of the work on my 6.GT3 as well - and I live in Pearland, so almost as far south as clear lake. You could also check to see if Akramhaus has any availability. A number of folks here on RL and in Houston use him, but he doesn't advertise and accepts customers on referral. PM if you want an intro. [He did work on my GT3 and SPB]

Are you going for the Speedster Marv? It's basically a GT3 cab like you predicted.

The Porsche north Houston mechanic you are looking for is Sam Shalala.

Chris Casarez and Steve Meisner are the other two who’s names and contact info you need.

Send me a PM if you are interested and I can tell you how to get in touch with these guys AWAY from the dealerships
