I wonder if it's all intentional... adds to the mystique, justifies the $13k. I can tell you that I'm not $13k worth proud of my PTS.. I love it don't get me wrong, but in hindsight.. I wouldn't have been upset with PCCB and yellow stitching or some extra leather instead. Not gonna worry about it next go-around even if I'm offered PTS.. I'm detoxing from Porsche koolaid as best I can. Less Rennlist visits was a start of my treatment, and less F..KS given about PTS and the Porsche rat race is the result. Try the detox, build a motorcycle or a race car instead, I highly recommend it.

My current methadone treatment costs less than a GT3 and made me just as happy.

Yes... talk to a Porsche Exclusive Design Consultant like Yana at PEC Atlanta once you have an allocation with a commission number assigned, which your SA can provide. Let both your SA, his GM, and the Porsche Exclusive rep at PCNA know your desire to get PTS.

The Exclusive folks like Yana then put you on their list of customers who they know want PTS and will keep you updated. It will help to get their time and attention if you also seriously inquire about one or more CXX (Exclusive customizations) like custo tailored seats, etc. and go meet with them at their Exclusive design lounge at PEC Atlanta (its an easy flight from anywhere and they’re right next to airport).

while none of this is any guarantee, it’s definitely your best bet.

I have a PTS GT3 on its way. Also have RS commission number and no way do I desire PTS. 13k price tag plus delay after delay, no thanks.

Looks fun, organic, oragami looking frame- kinda of Jules Verne machine, LOL

I too am ready to jump off the Porsche soup **** PTS merry go round. I have been looking at some of the latest rubberized color change coatings that have come out recently. Halo EFX is one that is a two coat solution with mixable colors for the base and a clear top coat. Spray on with an HVLP sprayer. When complete the clear coat can be polished like other automotive finishes. Peel off when you’re done. Probably top level job is less than $5K- any color you like. Buy the most popular color (white or black), spray your favorite color on and when you’re ready to sell peel it off.

This was the idea with my wrapped Vette, but I wasn’t satisfied with the gloss of the wrap- it’s not comparable to paint, but this is.

PAG hasn't opened up PTS on the 3RS to any of its regional entities yet. Not PCNA, PCGB, or their RoW equivalents.

Pure guesswork on my part: when the Zuffenhausen production schedule gets sorted out later this year, our regional entities will be notified... from there it's about your dealer's sorcery skills and a bit of luck as to where your particular commission sits relative to the PTS window...

Unlikely PTS will reopen for the GT3. It might for the RS next year. Anyone downplaying PTS is doing so simply because they already have it or didn’t pick the “right” color. Yeah, the wait/delays are not pleasant, but completely worth it if done right. But sure, not something I’d attempt on every car. It requires a lot of time, effort, patience, and some luck.

i had pts, have pts coming, will not get another.
the waiting time is longer then the time i keep the car.
that just seems wrong to me.
it's like taking a 2 day vacxtiaon but i need to spend 5 days flying there.

Most downplaying on RL is from people who couldn't get it ... sour grapes, plain and simple.

Agree. When I take delivery of a PTS GT, it easily feels worth the wait. In fact, the wait is about the last thing on my mind.

I really want one. But, I don't think I can for .2 GT3.

I guy I know got his allocation for a PTS GT3 in April of 2017. Got his car in April of 2018 after many delays. I got my allocation in late Sept 2017 (because I wanted MT) and my car in December 2017. Oh, and he paid 13K for the fun. My car is Carrera White @ $720. I think Porsche considers it a PITA and charges accordingly.
